hair dryers

They aren't too powerful. I have very thick hair and it takes forever to dry it with my regular hairdryer. If I used the one they provide, it would take 1/2 a day. I always bring my own. :)

I agree, the hair dryers are VERY wimpy! I always bring my own, also.

I have fairly short hair and I don't mind it, but DD has long, thick hair and hates it.

It just depends on your hair type. :D

I have shoulder length baby fine hair and it took me forever to blow dry it. I hated the dryers in the bathroom....

They are less like a blow dryer and more like a hose that blows warmish air, but after several few minutes of trying to dry my long hair, I found the hose to be too warm to hold. Needed a potholder! If you bring your own, there is no outlet in the bathroom. You will need to use a different outlet, and the one by the TV won't accept the oversize plugs that most blow dryers have (the type shaped like a miniature brick). I hear there's an outlet behind the TV that will work and one behind the end table that has the alarm clock on it. Or bring an extension cord. A three-prong works fine.

Short answer: Bring your own if you're picky.

Long answer: I think it depends on the dryer in your cabin. They apparently perform differently in each cabin. They are all 1500 watts. My daughter had long thick hair and it took about 10 minutes to dry, and the air coming out was soooo hot she felt like she burned her scalp. We would never bring one based on our experience.
