Hi, do they do the pixie dust treatment at the barber shop in DLRP like they do in WDW? Im not talking the fancy BBB treatment, just the fun little extra that the barber shop in Main St does. TIA:goodvibes

Hi Kymie and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

The barber shop is not always open, I guess because it is not widely known it is there.
I'm sure those who have experienced it will confirm the DLP experience :goodvibes

Thankyou. My best friend and her children are going in Sept and I started looking out info for her at first, but have now started to plan my own trip, prob for next year. My girls and I had our hair done in the barbershop at WDW so wanted to pass on the info to my friend and her daughter if they do it at DLRP.

Hi Kymie and welcome aboard. We have used both WDW's and DLP's on many occassions. They are very different fom one another.

WDW's is full of silly fun and is a great place for fun, especially for kids (our youngest had her first haircut done there, and our 4 year old had his hair cut, then green gel including mickey mouse in the back of his head.

DLP's is aimed at pampering men. It is about having traditional hair cuts and straight razor shaves in an old fashioned way. I love having a shave at DLP, so relaxing, and I become a part of the show. Not for kids or women.

I love them both for different reasons. Another big difference is you can just show up and queue at WDW, at DLP you must have an appointment.

Oh ok thanks. Its a shame thet dont have a part for the girls too. My youngest had his first hair cut at WDW too! While he was getting done, the pixie dust was flying over my girls! Just thought it would be a lovely extra for my friend!

Does anyone know how much the shaves are? I have always wanted one of those....

I can't remember exactly, but I recall paying about 30 euro for a shave and a haircut a few years ago.

Thanks for that Elaine. I'm up for this. :) I will post a price update and maybe a photo of a straight razor shave. Only 88 days and 2 hours to go. :cool1:

Just got back yesterday and i can confirm that after had having a shave myself the price is 14 euros. My son had his haircut and that cost 10 euros(child), an adult haircut is 20 euros.
