Hair Braiding?

Hello, everyone!!

We'll be in Orlando in late October, and there are dozens of things on my "must-do" list. My sister, however, has been talking about just one thing since our last trip - she wants to get her hair braided, Caribbean style. I know there are several "hairwrap" stations throughout WDW, but what she really wants is the island braids that they put beads on. We saw a lot of people with them on our way home in March, and she's hoping to find out where they got them done.


Does anyone know of anywhere at the Universal Resort (or elsewhere in Orlando - Disney, Sea World...) they do these braids, and, if so, have YOU (or your kids) gotten them?

Both Universal Studios & IOA have the hairwraps/braids... the Universal resorts also do the wraps but I am not sure of the braids

I have never seen braiding at Universal - they have the hair wrap spots set up at Studios, Islands & in Citywalk , butit is expensive -- between 1 & 2 $$ an INCH!!
(ok if your hair is short, but mine is NOT!!)

My niece got a hair wrap at City Walk. The girl that did hers was very slow and not that good. Some of them that were working there were really good but we didn't get one of them.

When we were at Universal a couple of weeks ago, there were several hair wrap / braiding stations in both US and IOA.
The ones I particularly remember (because I inquired about prices) were the ones by Jurassic Park in IOA and right by BTTF in IOA.

The hair braiding prices were:

Braids /with beads to just about the place you would put a hairband - from ear to ear = $50.00

Complete braids w/o beads was $100.00

Complete braids with beads was $150.00
