We were wondering does anybody know exactly where to go once on ship to make a hair braiding appointment? We will be on the Magic Sept.20 Eastern. My 8 & 9 year old daughters would love to get the braiding done. Thanks, Heather

Check your Navigator. I believe we made DD5's appointment Sunday right outside of the shops, where Disney's portrait is located. The braiding on the 7 nt Western, however, didn't begin until Monday morning(first sea day) on deck 9.

Yes, as Plutospup mentioned check your navigator. But look very, very carefully. I have the Eastern Navigators printed from Barb and Tony's site from April 2003. I had to look three times to find it. It is listed in the Sunday navigator in a box on the bottm under Merchandise Shops. It is very easy to miss. According to this, sign up is at 9:00-10:30am outside the shops on Sunday.

Is there a price list anywhere that lists the different types of braiding you can get done and a what cost. I'm sure DD will want some braids, but I'm just thinking a few and not the whole head!

HeatherF,

I just wanted to say "Hi" and say we'll also be onboard the 9/20 sailing! There's a thread floating around this board that a group of us have been posting on...we're only a month away!

Jo Anne They have a book with samples out at treasure catch where you sign up. I believe it was $2 braid if you are just doing a few.

Hey! We tried to sign up for this on our cruise this summer and were given the run around. We had to wait until we docked in Grand Caymen. GL with your ressies!!!

The sign up location and time varies a lot. When we did it, sign up was day 2 by the goofy pool. I believe the cost is $1 for regular braid, $2 for cornrow. There's no difference in cost between full cornrow or "headband" style cornrow, but they ask that you tell them which one you want, since some of the braiders can't do the headband style.

I don't think they're really giving you the run around, but it changes enough that there's no standard answer.

We will be traveling in Feb. on the Magic.

Does anyone know if the concierge service includes making hair braiding appointments on the Magic or do I need to check the Nav. and make the appointment myself?

Lynn

We made our reservations at the Goofy pool on 2nd day on the ship. They were great braids and lasted 7-8 weeks after we returned home. The first night they had them they were so tight I had to give my girls Tylenol....becasue they had a headache. But after that, they were so happy never to have their hair in their eyes. Last month we stayed at the Yacht Club and the briads the girls got there were twic as expensive and only lasted 1 week. They were very disappointed.
