Ok, Since my hair and makeup trial in November I have been growing out my fringe / bangs (whatever you want to call them)

Because it was windy the day we had our engagement photos taken my hair was everywhere and i don't want to worry about that on the wedding day. But now i am struggling to find a picture I like of how to wear my hair all back but not scraped back.

Anyone got any pics of their hair from the front and back?

Also, do you think it is ok to wear a low bun (I'm quite fancying this) but with the veil high? Or will this look stupid?

One last thing - did you all wear you veil for the full day? I really want to (Its the only time I will wear a veil and I want to get my monies worth :rotfl:) but don't know if it would look silly with it on for dinner, dancing and the dessert party?

I knew I wanted to wear my hair up on my wedding day. Because of my serious widows peak (like Eddie Munster :goodvibes) wearing it all back looked best on me. Like you I didn't want it scraped back tight, so I asked Patricia LeJeune to add some volume to the front.

I also wore a low bun and I wore my veil right in the middle (not too high and not to low). I don't think that your veil will look bad up high if you wear a low chingon bun; It actually sounds like it would look gorgeous!.....The only concern I would have is keeping the veil in place. If it's up too high, there may not be enough hair for the comb to grasp on to. You may want to ask your hairstylist if she's done a look like that before.

To answer your last question, I took my veil off after the first dance. I had a fingertip veil, and as much as I loved it, I kept on sitting on it. I was afraid I would rip it or snag it on something, too!

Here are some pics of my wedding hair:

I kept my veil on the whole night. I went back and forth with my hair. I love the low buns but then I wasn't sure how to do the veil so I was going to leave my hair down...in the end, it went ALL up!

I left it on until I got back to the resort after the DP

Ooh you looked gorgeous:lovestruc! Would you mind if I printed your picture to show Patricia LeJeune what look I'm going for at my trial run in May? I also have the Eddie Munster widows peak! (I thought I was the only one who called it that! :rotfl:)

I pulled all my hair back and used one of those hair combs from the mall..I knew the wind would be possible on the back of the ship, so I wanted to make sure it was all back
the comb in the veil secured it all

Sarah, did your side curls stay in with the heat?

Glad to hear this. I might take it off for a while when I'm dancing but it will be straight back on for the dessert party !!
