Ok ladies, so far I have found this sight completely helpful. I have finalized all my plans and budgets. Here comes the big question!!! Does anyone have any reccomendations for hair and makeup... I was also wondering who did their own hair and makeup? Any regrets, or good experiences are certainly welcomed!!!

I did my own hair/makeup, since I don't wear makeup usually and I prefer to wear less when I have to. My sister-in-law did my hair (curled it and put it in a simple updo) and it looked great! Did my own makeup and kept it natural. I am very glad I didn't pay someone $150 plus tip to come over and do it. :)

I have booked Beaute Speciale as well having read so many good reviews about them.

I want a professional job doing as whilst I am really good at doing my own makeup and am quite pleased with it when I look in the mirror, I do find that if I had a photo taken then it doesnt look anywhere near as good so I really want the professionals to do it who can make you look good in your photos.

(does that make sense!)

I used Beaute Speciale for hair and make-up for my VR. Their service was great leading up to the day (always got back to me promptly etc.) and I was very happy with how everything turned out the day of. I had Jackie and she was great.

Beaute Speciale! I had them do makeup for me and my five bridesmaids. (A stylist friend from home did our hair.) They are absolutely wonderful! Everyone looked truly gorgeous. I felt beautiful-- I'm pretty good with makeup, but I didn't want to look how I look every single day. A professional is totally worth it!

I was MOH in my sister's DW. We used Ana from Beaute Speciale and they were amazing! The makeup and hair came out beautifully and did not wear off at all. My hair was still intact and styled the next morning...yes after sleeping with it in! I would highly recommend her! If you want my sister's opinion as well, just contact her, Kstarfish82.

Another vote for Beaute Speciale, we didn't get Ana, but the 3 girls we had very amazing, I've never had my hair and makeup done so nicely.

Another vote for Beaute Speciale! I had Jackie do my engagment pics and loved her! So when I had 5 ladies come out to do hair and makeup for me, my BMs, moms, grandmas, and FGs, I made sure she was there and the one to do my hair and makeup. And then I requested her again for my MK Bridal Shoot!

I used Patricia Lejeune for my wedding and every time since then that I've done photos at Walt Disney World. She's extremely sweet, very easy to work with, really listens to what you want and is willing to change course midstream if necessary. She can do everything from a very natural look (that still pops in photos) to a very dramatic look and offers airbrush, mineral and traditional makeup.

I'm right there with Carrie!!! I had Patricia too, and couldn't have been happier!! My hair is fine and yet it looked great all day (with no fear that it would uncurl or fall out of it's style). The make-up and eyelashes were great too!!
Patricia is sweet, friendly and professional and was on time. Highly recommended!!

Thanks for your replies ladies. Do any of you have a hard time normally managing your hair in humidity... That is a huge concern for me. I actually have done make up classes... its my hair thats the concern. To me the hair is almost as important on the dress

I am used to it since I live in Orlando, but yes, my hair is super frizzy all the time. And poufy if I don't straighten it. But I didn't notice any frizziness on my big day!

I'm using beaute speciale. I did a trial with Jackie and was really happy.

Do anyone know of a place where the prices are reasonable? ive looked at Beaute Speciale , Lisa's magical Weddings, and on site beauty. they all seem to be pretty high prices.

I used Janet with onsite beauty. She did my hair and makeup for the wedding. It lasted all day, through everything. She also gave sample sizes of the makeup she used in case I needed a touch up. I adored her!

I also had Janet from OnSite Beauty! She was WONDERFUL! I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup. My makeup lasted all day and my hair didn't move - I did not wear a veil, I did a flower and she was able to get it pinned in very securely, I even wore it on rides later in the day in the parks and it didn't move! Highly recommend her, she was so sweet (especially for it being 4am!) :thumbsup2

I think most of the prices of people who will come to you are similar. You may be able to find something less expensive if you travel off property to a salon.
