Hair and Makeup

Since Disney isnt doing hair/makeup any more, who is everyone using? I read a post that listed only a couple of names. Is that causing any problem arranging dates? We are wondering how far in advance we should set things up. Did you make appointments to do a test during a prior visit to wdw?

I used Lisa from http://www.lisasmagicalweddings.com She is wonderful..very experienced.. I highly recommend her! She was part of disney's cosmetology team when it was available.

I just booked Lisa yesterday for my March 2007 wedding. Its never too early, you can always change the date if you wedding date changes as long as its available. She did tell me that people are starting to call more often this month for bookings for next year already.

I am also using Lisa for hair and makeup for both the wedding and the MK shoot.... She has been great about getting back to me by e-mail so far and I am really looking forward to my trial run in Sept to see what wonders she can do with this red mop of mine.... LOL... She did say that she was already getting tons of calls and was filling up for the early part of next year so like others sadi it is never too early.

Hi Button, I believe lisa has a couple of email addresses... well I saw one listed on the board here is different from her website's. but try to catch her early in the mornings her time. usually we get someone else answering the phones but it gets the message through.

In a recent e-mail from Lisa this is what the prices were at the time, but they are subject to change: Here is what she said:

Rates are $65 for short hair (up to shoulder) and $80 for long hair and $65 for make up. For the MK photo shoot it will be $200 and it will be 4am start. Trial runs will be $65 (Hair only). For both hair and make up is $115.00.

Button, we just booked Lisa for December 2006. We called her as the email address linked to her site returned the email saying the mailbox didn't exist. She instructed us on how to make the PayPal deposit. The prices she quoted us are $65 for my updo and $50 for the makeup... just as the previous poster said. She is coming to our hotel room for 7:30am to get ready for a 9:30am departure. I would suggest you call her, as I am very surprised that she hasn't gotten back to you with details. She responded to our inquiry immediately and followed up with confirmation that she had received our PayPal deposit. -Ev

Panic not, I called and got to speak with lisa. She explained that her daughter takes care of the email and payments etc.

She checked her book and I'm all booked in. She is coming to Yacht Club for 11am for my 2pm wedding.

She really does sound like a lovely and very talented lady. Can't wait for her to work her magic on me.

I just sent my deposit this week, but I did talk to Lisa's daughter on the phone and she scheduled in the date and explained how the paypal worked. I will be sending an email to confirm they recieved it. I will let you know how it turns out.

let Lisa know how many people you need hair/makeup done and she'll bring her team accordingly
It takes about 2 hrs just for one person for hair/makeup I believe.

Lisa said that they didn't deduct the money until the day of the wedding. She also said I could either pay her the balance on the day or before via paypal. She prefers before just so she can spend more time making you look like a princess.
