So, how many of you had an actual hair and makeup trial before your wedding day? I'm trying to figure out the best way to schedule this and to determine how necessary it is.

Did you do it earlier in your actual wedding trip? During your planning session trip? Help! :confused3

I did mine during my PS trip. It was in June and our vow renewal was in Nov. I had Patricia LeJuene and she came right to my room at the POLY and we did a hair and makeup trial. I really am glad I did it. It gave me a chance to meet Patricia and see how the airbrush makeup looked on me. I can't imagine not having a trial. On the day of the vow renewal we did my makeup a little different and my hair completely different! I had sent Patricia pictures of the new hairstyle I wanted before hand. She did it exactly how I wanted it and both my hair and makeup came out perfectly. I am not sure who you are using but I would highly recommend Patricia!:thumbsup2

I'm just going to do trials at my local salon and take pictures, especially with the makeup :)

I'm going for my planning session next week and I'll be having a hair and makeup trial on thursday with Patricia.

I'm definitely doing a trail. But it's mainly to see if the makeup will cover my tattoo or not, because if it doesn't, I'll need a little jacket. I hope it does, because I really don't want to be wearing a jacket in June!

I just had mine, the original idea was to coordinate it so it would be the same day we were having our engagement pics taken, but due to schedule conflicts that didn't pan out as well.

I didn't mind and had my make up trial a day after the engagement shoot. I am very glad I did! First off it allowed me to get to know my make up artist before the day, and she is wonderful (I will be using Patricia LeJeune), we calmly went over what kind of hair style and make up I wanted, I showed her a couple of inspiration photos, my dress photos, a bouquet idea and she could come up with a palette to compliment it all.

The finished product was outstanding. I also got to try on the eyelash clusters to make sure they would be right for me, and they were! Also I made sure my hair would hold the curl and didn't need extra product or curling the day of, etc.

Now I will know what to expect the day of and when Patricia comes to my room I will be completely at ease and happy to see a familiar face, no awkward feeling of being with a stranger. We really bonded so it was wonderful. :thumbsup2

I did a trial and was so incredibly unhappy with the results. I am very glad I did it thoug and found out ahead of time it didn't work out. I ended up going with Beaute Speciale and LOVING it.

I am not getting to Disney before the wedding so I am having a trial with Patricia LeJeune on the Friday before my Monday wedding. That is one of the reasons I wanted to get down to Florida a few days early.

I'm from the UK and didn't manage to get to Disney before the wedding so I didn't have a hair trial, which I worried about up until I had my hair and make up done. I can honestly say I shouldn't have worried, I had Beaute Speciale for myself and 3 bms and we just showed them pics of what we wanted and we all looked great! I don't think it's absolutely necessary, but if it will put your mind at rest, have one!

How do I get in touch with her? I wanted airbrush make up for my upcoming engagement session. How much does she cost? Does she have a salon in Orlando? I live here so getting to her salon before the session would be easy for me. Thanks

Did anyone use Patricia LeJeune for their MK session? Does she charge an additional fee for the early appointment? Or is it just the travel fee?

http://www.lejeune-pca.com/ is her website, you can contact her through the site to see if she's available. She only charges the travel fee (which is $50) once even if you have the services and the trial. I'm not sure about the early morning fee but I don't think so. Airbrush make-up is $60 as is hair design, the trial for both is $100. She does not have a salon so she does have to come to you.

I did. I did it during my P.S. trip. I didn't want to do it earlier in our wedding trip, because then if I didn't like it, I felt like I would've been screwed. It also worked out because we ended-up having our engagement shoot done after, so I was all done-up for that. :)

Hi Disneychickforever, (don't mean to threadjack) let us know how the Tatoo cover up goes :) I am interested in doing the same and was worried that the makeup would smear on my dress or someone who might hug me :)

I did this with one of my Tats...just two words of warning. If your tattoo is dark enough, the makeup doesn't "cover" it just lightens. In my non-professional pics when the camera flash hit it, it would appear as a bright white spot on my skin. Looking back I kinda wish I would have just left it alone. Here's an example:

I'm with MsEsty - I'm in Canada and can't go down to Florida just for a trial.
I've been looking at pictures for hair, and will have a trial with my own hairdresser and take pictures to bring down with me.
To be honest, I'm not worried about it, I've booked Ana from Beaute Special as I've heard wonderful things about her and her team so I'm sure they can recreate the look I like :thumbsup2
