Hagerstown MD - I need your help!

So I was to my local Berwick Offray ribbon outlet last night and they have closed ! What? How can that be possible? I have personally supported that place single-handedly during the past couple Christmas seasons. My DH would cringe when I came in from a trip to the outlet. Bags and bags and bags of beautiful ribbons! I have counted on this place for all my ribbons during the Christmas season. I love ribbons on packages and now I have to find another source for them.

So the company tells me there's still an outlet in Hagerstown, MD. Anyone know of the place? Anyone want to support my ribbon habit by picking up and shipping some ribbon to me? I would be really grateful for any help!

Where in PA are you? It shouldn't be that far from you, it is pretty close to the PA border. I would offer to go for you, but it is a bit of a haul for us and I only make it 1x/year, max.

You scared me into thinking it was our MD location that closed up and I had to steady myself before I finished your post! I go on the way to our family cabin in WV and fill my trunk Love the fun of all that ribbon for so so so inexpensively! We aren't heading past for a few months, hope someone can help

I'm assuming it might be at the Hagerstown outlet mall. The outlets are pretty much right off I-81 (technically off 70 but right next to where 70 and 81 intersect). Very close to the PA border, I guess closest to Chambersburg PA.

I can't really help you, but I wanted to say THANK YOU for posting this because I had no idea this existed. My husband on the other hand, does NOT thank you (Hi, my name is Suz D and I'm addicted to ribbon). We're only about 2 hours from there so I'll be making a trip there soon!

One little bit of help may be Sam's Club or Costco. I love ribbon on my packages too. I use the wide, wired ribbon. It's about $7.95 for 50 yards at both places. It's like a vacuum, sucking me into the ribbon aisle each time I go there.

It's not actually in the mall but a funny residential section. I always google it before heading over for directions but it is VERY worth the adventure through town. Last time I went I bought grocery bags stuffed FULL with ribbon that had unwound from the factory spools for .25 a bag. It's very seasonal, sometimes the good deals will be a wide assortment and sometimes there is nothing but green ribbon with unintentional pink edges.

Since you have been there in the recent past could you answer a question for me before I drag DH all the way there? At this location do they have bins and bins of rolls of ribbon and you just fill a bag for a certain price?
I think ours was that you filled a grocery bag sized bag for somewhere around $5 per bag? Is that what you do at this location? The one I went to had probably 30 large bins of rolls of christmas ribbon. They also had displays of large rolls of fabric ribbon like you would use on a wreath. Is this location the same thing?

You know it's different every time I go! There is always a huge chunk of the "store" set up with $1, $2, $5 roll bins and then bins of so many rolls for a $1. My favorite is when they have the stuff a bag section. It will be the small rolls of thin ribbon or miles of thicker ribbon that become unwound in the factory and no one wanted to put it back on the spool. I've also been when it was pre stuffed bags so you dig around till you find a bag you like but it always come with ribbon you might not like.

Here's my current stash, I think it ran me about $45 or so. You can kind of see the brown rolls still have price tags on them- $1.25 and they are about 10 inches across which is a LOT of ribbon!

I'm really looking for the curling type ribbon that comes like 3-4 colors on the roll and also for the rolls of 1/2" - 1" package ribbon that you use to make bows.....the more plastic type for on packages (that can be curled). Maybe I will try to find a phone number for the store down there and give them a call.

Our local one closed because they moved the plant to Mexico. Makes me so angry.....all those good jobs moved to Mexico. Should boycott the whole company, but I need my ribbon fix.
