i wouldn't suggest hardrock cafe for anyone here the service is bad and it is really slow :sad2:

We have eaten at HRCs in Chicago, Detroit and La Jolla and loved them all! Had good service and good food.

Sorry you had a bad experience.

We were at the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal two weeks ago. Food and service were fine - no problems at all.

We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe in Myrtle Beach last year. It was good.

It had a menu that was very similar to all theme-based restaurants (i.e. Hard Rock, Planet Hollywood, et. al.).

We enjoyed our meal at the Hard Rock in Myrtle Beach and we plan on trying the one in Universal this coming June.

Were there any specific reasons you did not enjoy your meal?

We went to HR Universal with two kids - did not expect them to be kid friendly - we were pleasantly surprised! The wait stadd were great - got everything we needed in a timely manner - made substitutions no prob - were super nice to our kids.....

Made the end to a long day at teh park that much nicer for mom and dad!

Everyone has lousy experiences... try not to let it keep you from giving them another chance.

We have been to Hard Rock Cafes all over the world (we collect the glasses, t shirts, teddy bears and pins) and the one in Universal is the biggest and best in my opinion.

It is noisey and very crowded. Try to go for an early lunch at 11.30 ish and it should be fine.

We visited Hard Rock Cafe in February. Food was fine. However, I don't think I've ever been served so quickly! I bet it was only about 5 minutes after we placed our order, that we received our meal. I had a cobb salad and my son had the pig sandwich, so I guess they were quick and easy to put together.

looking forward to trying this in may.
do you think it best to have lunch or wait till we leave the park?

We 've loved all HRC we've visited, Only exception was the one in Vegas but we put that down to suffering from tiredness after being up nearly 22 hours after travelling from the UK and we were shattered.

Universal (many times :) )
Amsterdam
Leeds
Manchester
London

Have all been fine.

There is a separate entrance to HRC from Universal that gets you there real quickly for lunch.

the godsmack concert new year's eve was incredible. you mean there's a restaurant there as well? :)

We ate there last week and really liked it. Service was great and we even met Dame Edna who was wandering thru the restaurant. This was a nice end to a long park day. :cool1:

What time did you go Streetballa?
If you go during prime time between 12:30-02:30 or 07:00-09:00pm, then of coarse the service will be slow. There's thousands of other people who get hungry at the same time. At noon, they all say, let's go get lunch, and head out to a restaurant. At 12:30 is when they arrive, and the line goes out the door.
The key to good service is to be there 1 hour before they arrive. Even if you are not hungry, at 11am, you should be thinking about lunch, not at noon when everyone else does.
For dinner, you should be walking to the restaurant at 5pm, not 6 or 7.

To answer your question, we got there at noon just before the crowd hit, ordered 3 apps, and had no problems getting served. As we left, there was a line of people trying to get in.

The Hardrock has the best cheeseburgers at the park.

Thanks to your cheeseburger poll from last fall, I had to try one when we were there in October and it definitely made my favorites list. Hopefully, we'll be able to eat there on our next trip this June.

We have eaten at the HRC on each of our visits and each time found the service to be EXCELLENT. The food was good too...not outstanding but good. No complaints from us. Very kid friendly place. DD declares them to have the best pizza and she should know! :)

We've been to HRC Orlando a couple of times and the service was great. We also been one in Myrtle Beach and Detroit and it was great.

I hope you give HRC another try, maybe they were just having a bad day, even though it shouldn't effect the their service.

The Cheeseburger in Paradise is worth a try as well. :wave2:

I like HRC much better than margaritaville hamburgers are the best at HRC my 21 yr old DD loves their burgers and she is very fussy the staff was very nice and my DD works as a server and when it is crowed at a restuarant food can take up to an hour that's just the way it is, it's not the server's fault they get the food as soon as it's ready
