Had to share my Coach & UGG deals!

Went in to Lord & Taylor the other just to check out the Coach purses because they usually have a table with 25% - 50% off. Usually they are the very trendy ones, but I always check them out.

When I walked in they had just set up a sale table with a slew of UGG boots. Picked up 3 pair - one for each of my DD's. They were $100 off the original price. I paid $120 for each pair. I can't remember the style, but they are the knee high crocheted ones, which my DD's have decided they like! They always ask for UGG boots for Christmas.

Walked back to the handbag section & they had styles in gray, black, brown & beige for 25% off. I picked up a black hobo bag for my oldest DD at 25% off. I was going to go to the outlet store, but it's about 45 minutes away & I figured even if I paid a little less, I'd spend more time & gas money than the savings would be worth. Plus, now if she doesn't like it, she can easily return it.

I know I still spent a lot of money, but I'm pretty much done with Christmas shopping for my DD's now. I have to get one more "big" gift for one of my DD's & some small things!

coach just sent out another 20% off coupon for the outlets to be used by this sunday (Nov. 22). their clearance purses are marked 50% plus you can use your 20% off coupon. You need the coupon to get the discount, you can sign up with your email address and they will email you a coupon for your entire purchase right away.
plus, you dont have a limited of time to exchange or return a coach item if you have your receipt. I bought a graduation gift for a friend and her family didnt have a party and i havent seen them for over six months, i finally return the purse six months or so later and i got a refund (of course the refund went to a purchase right away)

While I love the outlets I have issues with the fact that they are not forthcoming with the fact that many of the purses are OUTLET ONLY. Just make sure you get the deal on the Real ones. The better made quality ones.
If you ask an associate they will direct you to the ones from the retail stores vs. those made straight for outlets.

There is a Coach Outlet about an hour from here, but i didn't know that until AFTER I spent $350 on a Coach purse and wallet for DD15. Before you flame me about the money, this is for her 16th b-day, it's ALL that she is getting and her grandpa went in halfsies with me. Oh, and I fell in love with it when I saw it. So go ahead and yell. LOL. I just pray she likes it. I wanted something a little grown up for her for sweet 16. She could have had a party or a gift and she chose the gift (she doesn't know what she's getting, her bday is Dec 6)

They started doing this a couple of years ago- recently. In the past it was all from retail bags.
Then I was in there and mentioned (since I am an addict) that I don't recall that design? And she said "Oh this is a straight to outlet bag" As are these- and she pointed around the store. So it's not like they stack them up together they are scattered throughout.
The last time I asked all accessories were retail though.

One way to tell the outlet bags from the retail bags is to look at the # on the inside of the bag. If it has an "F" in it, it was made for the outlet (at least this is what I was told).

I was actually told they are made differently- at a separate location. I'm not saying SECONDs. I'm saying bags designed specifically for the outlets- so not as "blingy" I guess.

And I don't think there is anything wrong with an outlet bag as long as the buyer is aware that is what they are getting. I get a bigger thrill seeing a bag for $120 I saw at retail for $350.

It's the one pictured, not the one available. They are sold out of the one I got DD. And I bought hers from Coach.com and just realized I paid an extra $30 than Macys had it for!
