Hi everyone! My DH and I had to reschedule our November 7-14th vacation to June 19th- 25th. I am happy on one hand because we are staying at the Poly instead of PoR, and I don't have to take any days off from school--I'm a teacher! Anyway, we are wondering about the crowds. How are the park hours? How is the weather? We visited in May 2000 and it was hot!! Thanks in advance!

I read on a post that the "real" crowds don't show up until around the second week of June. That would include us. We went in early July one year and it was very hot. We got the usual afternoon showers just about every day. We will be spending a few extra days in the parks to make up for the crowds.

I have been there several times during mid to late June. The crowds are not that bad. The crowd really starts to pick up that last week of June for the 4th of July. We usually never wait any longer then 15 minutes for most rides and the most popular rides we just got fastpasses for them. So definitly use the fastpasses whenever you can it saved us alot of time.

That's when we go also....looks like it's about 253 days until we leave. I'm hoping the really big crowds hold off until the week-end before the 4th. That's the week-end we leave!!! But it can still be pretty hot. I do remember people saying last June how hot/humid it was.

We've gone many times during the summer. In fact, we were just there from June 11 to the 21st.

The crowds are not bad if you check out the references that are out there for which are the busy days at each park and avoid those and the EE days.

Like the earlier post, use fastpass for the E-rides and you'll be fine.

Yes, it is hot, and like mentioned earlier there is the 3:30 afternoon shower almost every day. It's kind of funny to see all the outside shops start putting out the Mickey poncho's about 2:30 or so each day.

Park hours are usually the longest there are. That makes the bigger crowds not as much of an issue as there is more time to spend in the parks.

Hope this helps.

Thank you everyone! The longer hours are definitely a plus! As it is just me and DH, the heat will be yucky, but at least we can just hop back to the resort in the middle of the day. Fastpasses here we come!!

We were there at the same time this year. Very hot and humid, heat and humidity are worse then May. However, the parks run long hours, the big fireworks and shows run most nights. Get out of the heat midday, hit the pool and a/c. The weather is like our usual worst day of midsummer, but somewhat hotter and much more humid! I'm just down the road from you, Carbondale!
