Hi, I'm an avid podcast listener and lurker & occasional poster here on the podcast board. I love reading everyone's comments after each week's show and then coming here in between to catch up on what's going on.
Anyway, my family should be spending our 9th night at CSR tonight but instead we had to postpone our trip. Friday afternoon 5/21 about 16 hours before we were to fly out on 5/22 our oldest DD fell at home and broke both of her leg bones at her ankle. She had to have surgery this past Tuesday and is now the proud owner of 8 screws and 2 plates in her ankle. She's doing OK, still in some pain but she can't put ANY weight on her ankle for 4 weeks. Then it will be 4 more weeks of limited weight and removal of 1 of the screws. She was very upset that it was her fault that we didn't get to go on our trip. Of course her dad and I were upset too but more worried about her.
Shortly after we got home from the doctor's office I got on the phone with Disney and Delta. The Disney CM was very nice and helped me reschedule our trip to September. With the FD promo we were able to upgrade to AKL for our 1st deluxe stay. We will also be able to do MNSSHP for the first time. Thankfully the Delta cs rep that I spoke with waived the reticketing fee for us. All in all the trip details are working out.
Please keep my DD in your thoughts and prayers as she goes through this recovery process. She did this on her first official day of summer so her plans of babysitting and playing at the pool most of the summer are now down the drain. She's a volleyball player and at this point we aren't sure if she will be able to play this fall.
Sorry this is so long but I just wanted to share with you guys.
