I'm so sorry to hear that. I just lost my Father 3 weeks ago. I know how difficult this must be for your DH and you! You are in my prayers. Please stay strong for your family, your DH will need you in the days to come.
I always take great comfort from a phrase in the bible that says "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Phil 4:13). When you feel like you are not strong enough to deal with everything, think of that.

Hey everyone, we just had to cancel our Disney vacation. My father-in-law fell off a ladder and broke his neck (C1, C2, C7 vertebrae) and is in a coma. We all could use your prayers in this time of need. Everyone on this board is so thoughtful and I know that this would be a great set of people to ask for prayer. Thank you.

I am so sorry! Our prayers are with you and your family. I live about 20 miles east of Dallas, so am fairly near you. We've had a really rough time the last few weeks with my dad. He has alzheimers, recently got violent, and started obsessing about setting fires, so we had no choice but to put him in a nursing home at 74y/o. It's been really rough. He's still alive of course, but it feels like we've lost him. With alzheimers you lose them twice. Anyway, I said all that to let you know that I know the feeling of helplessness you feel right now. Again our prayers are with you!!
