Had my first Disney trip anxiety dream last night

You know, like the ones you had in college where you have a test and didn't go to class all semester? Or you were on stage in a play and didn't know ANY of your lines?

We checked into the hotel and had no tickets...I realized that I completely forgot to SAVE MONEY FOR TICKETS and was scrambling to transfer / borrow money so we could get tickets to the park...somehow that resolved itself, you know how dreams can be? In my dream I was actually freaking out because no tickets ALSO meant I had apparently missed my 60 day FP window

Then we missed our first ADR (in the dream it corresponded to our first actual ADR, CP at 8:10 AM) I was in the room with my MIL and I look over at the clock and it's 8:40!!! She says "I know", so we hightail it over there, somehow we are allowed in, but the restaurant is all grungy and weird (and definitely NOT CP as I've only seen it in pics), and it is not Pooh characters but Alice in Wonderland characters, which would have been fine, but...

The "characters" were all kind of creepy middle-aged men (I'm middle aged, BTW, so no judgement there), dressed as the March Hare and (I'm assuming) the Dormouse....the Mad Hatter was NOT there, which is totally odd. And they were just kind of mumbling weirdness and it was all SO TOTALLY FLIPPING BIZARRE. I think I need to take a break from the DIS.

Anyone else have Disney planning anxiety dreams?!?!

Mine is recurring. I have nightmares that I am leaving MK and as I am walking down MSUSA realize all I have done all day is walk around the park and did no shopping, saw no shows & rode nothing. I also frequently dream that I'm on a charter bus on some weird interstate loop and pass right by EPCOT without stopping. One time I dreamed that when I got to WDW the whole thing was in refurb. So to compensate, there were 4 big circus tents (one for each park) set up in a cow pasture

But mine was about flying to Fl. The plane just couldn't get that oomph to fly. So it landed on a skyscraper. We got out and were
staring at the abyss wondering how the plane would be able to take-off. I woke up after that

I had one a couple of weeks ago! In it we decided to make a last minute trip, i forgot to make FP+ reservations, and when we got to MK all FP were gone, and you weren't allowed on any ride without a FP+, so we spent the day hanging around the turnstyles, we didn't even get to shop. Weird thing is, we didn't have a trip planned (we wanted to wait til all the FP+ kinks were worked out). But since having that dream, I am now in full planning mode and hoping to go late July/ early Aug. (if we can find time between DS soccer seasons).

Haha my last dream was similar...our trip had ended and we hadn't rode a single ride and I was freaking out! I also had one where I walked from our resort to Epcot in my pajamas with my son to see illuminations and only one single firework went off and that was it! I'm glad I'm not alone and others have these dreams too...my husband thinks I'm crazy

Yes! I have too have weird dreams prior to our trips. Usually when the trip gets very close. The other night I dreamed that DME didn't take us to our resort, but instead dropped us off at a house. (Not a rental house mind you, but a random unoccupied house) Now, because we weren't at a Disney resort, we were on our own to get to the parks. We drove around all day trying to get to a park. (How we drove I don't know as we flew and took DME) Then it started to rain so we just went back to the house. I remember thinking "THIS is what I saved for almost a year for?!" Then I woke up. BIZARRE!

My most recent Disney dream was that we got to the airport and I was waiting for my luggage, but it never showed up. Then my husband informed me that I forgot my luggage and he was going to teach me a lesson and not tell me I forgot my luggage (weird, I know!) I was mad at first, but then I realized "I get a whole new DISNEY wardrobe!!!" I woke up a little anxious but excited anyway. I'm glad to hear other people have this problem, too!

Must be something in the air. I never remember my dreams, never mind have strange Disney dreams but last week there were two nights where I woke up because they were so crazy. Both times involved getting to places on time. One was at the airport and I don't know if I'd forgotten my passport or what it was but it was something that made me need to race back home and fetch it. But don't worry, my parents suddenly showed up (they appeared to live at the airport ) and they were happy to watch my daughter and our luggage .... while watching the MK opening ceremony out of their living room window

I once dreamt that we had landed just short of the airport in Florida but it was okay, we could just take a bus to where we needed to go

And I've had loads of dreams about being back at MK, only it was weird in some way. My favourite one was when I dreamt I was trying to watch the MSEP, but realised hey, I can see it out of my window, back home in England! So I opened the window and had a great view. If only!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one! We are going on the Disney Dream before our WDW trip in Sept, and I dreamed that we got on and everyone was very rude and mean. Then our rooms were booked by someone else too and the ship was full so they had no where for us. We decided to let guest relations work it out and go eat. When we got there, they wouldn't let us in since we didn't have rooms on the ship! I woke up and told DBF about it and said it was not the Disney Dream but the Disney Nightmare!

I'm 19 and, since my parents are busy (and I really wanted too), I'm doing all the planning.

I thought I was going crazy until I saw this topic. I have recurring dreams about getting to the resort and realizing I didn't book ANY of our ADRs. Hopefully those will stop after I make the ADRs when the window opens in a few days

In another dream that I had, we got to MK and it didn't look like the MK I remember. It was pretty much an apartment complex... with different rides being in different apartments.

I have really strange, vivid dreams on a regular basis.. but these particular dreams leave me stressed for about 20 minutes after I wake up lol

Oddly, I don't remember ever having a dream about WDW until a few nights ago. I dreamt I forgot our tickets at home but had photos of the backs of the tickets, etc. Lots of details in the dream but one of those where everything takes so long to figure out, that half the trip is over by then.

I've enjoyed reading the various scenarios. Some are pretty funny. They can be altogether too realistic though and that is scary

I had one of these last night and in all my trips this has never happened to me before! I dreamt I forgot to use my fp+ for the mine train and I couldn't get a new time! Lol I think I need a vacation from my vacation.

I had my first Disney nightmare last night. Then I woke up this morning and realized that was my reality.

I will be totally stressed today between trying to get everything done, get us packed, and my oldest graduates High School tonight.
I also have to work a half day today. I've no idea how I ended up so behind this trip. Normally I'm all packed by now.

We are leaving tomorrow hopefully by 8am and we drive the 8 hours there. And like a fool, I booked us evening dining reservations in MK for the 24 hour event. Yikes!

Mine is somewhat like this, or I'll spend the whole day or trip just outside the gate, and things keep happening so we don't get in.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has these dreams!
