had my car broken into today!!

took the children that i mind to the local common for a runabout and when we got back my car window had been smashed and my bag stolen
i know i shouldn have left it in the car but it was hidden under some coats
ive spent the whole afternoon on the phone cancelling cards and stuff
what upset me the most was the loss of my work diary and most importantly the family photos that were in my purse
and whats worse i reported the crime at 3.15 but no-one from the police has bothered to show up and take a statement

It's so annoying when someone breaks into your car! I had my car broken into in Leicester. The police didn't do alot then either - just gave me a crime number.

I will think twice about going down to Burbage common!

It's the hassle factor and the loss of things like your photos that make this so much more upsetting than the actual value of anything taken

i didnt have my car broken into so not nearly as bad but the other day when i went to a leisure centre i had my wing mirror bashed in by some stupid mindless thugs. i was cursing and swearing when i saw it. how annoying.

It makes me angry when hearing things like this, it makes you realise how bad this world is going to, you just can't have anything.
When it's your property you dread the thought of some mindless idiot going through your belongings and taking them.

i am still really cross, ive been and replaced everyting i can today and i am just charging up my new mobile.
ive decided not to carry photos in my purse anymore so i wont feel as bad next time
the police have taken a crime report ( over the telephone) bot basically told me not to hold my breath for them being caught

when you sort your new phone out my advice would be to put a code on it so no one else can use it.

im not sure if you can have one on the phone and the sim card. when people steal your phone the first thing they do usually is turn it off. when they turn it back on they wont be able to use it if you have a code to gain access. hopefully it will cause them probs at least just enough to piss them off.

now ive replaced everything i feel a lot better, i cant tell you how wierd it was going out into town yesterday without a handbag or purse !! we dont realise how much we take our possessions for granted i expect

still ive still got our 1st wdw holiday to look forward too and cheer me up
