had my 20 week scan!

hi,i had my 20 week scan earlier this week and everything seemed fine.
they checked all the babies major organs and said that everything looked perfect!
i am really pleased and relieved that everything is well!
we didnt find out the sex of the baby because the NHS here wont tell you so we will have to wait for a surprise!
i also think i have felt some movement this week,just a gentle fluttering in my tummy,it feels different to anything else so im sure its the baby!
just wanted to announce my good news!

Congratulations, what wonderful news.
At twenty weeks, those flutters are def the baby. I loved that feeling.
I didnt find out the sex of either of my girls - and we went into every scan announcing straight away that we didnt want to know! Many friends have found out so I do find it a bit strange that they won't if you requested it.

My best friend didn't want to know with her first but her husband did. It was a male radiographer and as the scan was coming to end and my friend was leaving her husband casually asked the guy if he had noticed the sex and the radiographer said "well, it would be a funny looking boy"! My friend was gutted at his flippant remark.....

ive heard that a couple up here got told the opposite sex of what the baby actually was and then tried to sue the NHS.
that is apparently why they dont tell you up here anymore.

Seeing your baby in the scans is wonderful, hope everything goes well. BTW in a few months you will definitely know when the baby's moving when you see it's elbow or foot sticking out of the side of your belly!!!
