I met my favorite tv host Samantha Brown last Thursday at a travel conference and was lucky enough to be seated right next to her for lunch. She is just as amazing in person as on tv. She told me that she had just finished filming the DVC show on Aulani. We talked about Disney and DVC - it was so exciting for me that I could barely eat! I'm still not over it!

That's nice to hear that she's the same in person as on TV. Did she talk about what she really liked about Aulani. Since the hotel isn't open she didn't have a chance to stay there. Will she be returning in order to spend the night and do another review?

So do you think they intentionally sat all you TV celebraty types together at the same table or was that just coincidence?

How cool! What a great experience that must have been for you. I love Samantha Brown and always suspected she would be great to "hang" with. I'll bet you had a great time. Thanks for sharing with us. I love hearing stories like this.

Lol I'm no tv star! The bank that I work for sponsored the keynote speaker and I was lucky enough to be seated next to her as a perk of that sponsorship. I did ask her if she knew the production company that was used for Disney Storybook Vacations, she worked with the same company in Hawaii. She did say that the complex was not completed yet, but beautiful. Must be DVC is investing a lot in TV production for sales.

She is exactly the same in person as she is on tv - full of life and adventure. Everyone in the room loved her. She even took to time to sign autographs and speak individually to everyone who wanted a photo. She grew up in NH and loves to come back to visit when her schedule allows. Such a gracious, classy and beautiful person. I was so honored to meet her.

And P.S. For the ladies out there...her husband is jaw dropping hot!

How cool is that! We love Samantha Brown. Thanks for sharing!

That's so awesome PalVal!!! I always wondered if she was DVC just because she seems to like the villas so much.

I am totally jealous. I love her and would love to talk to her about her travels. She seems so genuine.

You were so fortunate! I would just love to meet her. The only problem is that I'd probably babble and get so tongue-tied to actually get to meet her. Did you get your photo taken with her and an autograph? That's one of those things I probably wouldn't think of until after because I'd just be so excited.

Yes, I did get an autographed photo. I asked her to to please write "See you at Disney" and she did! I already have it in a frame... I had to speak on behalf of the bank before she spoke (as a sponsor of the event) and after being star struck I felt like I had half a brain! No pressure, only 250 tourism businesses from all over the state... I can't even remember what I said.

I don't think she is a DVC member. However she did say that she doesn't know anyone who doesn't "Get" Disney!

Wow
I would love to meet Samantha Brown. I have loved every show she has been on and would love to travel to the places she has.

I love her shows especially the cruise ones.

Its the Great Hotels - Disney for me!!

I watch and re-watch the Grand Floridian, Y&BC, Wilderness Lodge, and Animal Kingdom Lodge. I wish she would do a Great Hotels episode with of Boardwalk...but I know she doesn't do that anymore.

Thanks for sharing PalVal, so glad that she is as warm and gracious in person as she comes across on TV! Love you getting the picture with "see you in Disney". All her shows are great and can't wait to watch her Aulani episode.

That is so cool! We are HUGE Samantha Brown fans. Would love to talk to her over lunch. What a great moment for you!

You are so lucky! I'm looking forward to seeing her featured in the presentation about Aulani next week!
