Had anyone here watched Dancing on Ice?

Somehow my daughter heard about the show and is watching all she can of it on YouTube. She's hoping it will eventually come to the States.

Does anyone know how long they train?

I think they train from about 3 months and then have as long as they stay in the competition. It really is amazing how much they can do in such a short amount of time. I wish they did a version so non-famous people could appear on the show, although I think Id spend most of my time on my bottom

I've wondered why DoI wasn't snatched up by overseas broadcaster but alot of it does revolve around Torvill & Dean and other countries just don't have a similar couple and T&D can't do a foreign one because the pre show training, the show and then the tour must take about 9 months of their year up anyway.
