Had an interesting conversation with a CM

Does anyone else think that the opening of WWOHP will hurt our chances for a good fall promo? Maybe I'm thinking in reverse. I think more people will plan combine trips and up demand. However, I don't see the economy improving anytime soon.

Yes, but HP is opening in June and that is when they are pushing promos like mad. Why would HP fans do a mad rush to Orlando in the late summer/fall and why would they stay at Disney without some kind of incentive? I would think if you wanted to visit Orlando and do both parks, you would stay at US for the FoTLP (because HP is bound to be mad crowded this summer) or stay offsite where you can get more for your money and travel back and forth between the parks. It doesn't make sense to me that tons of people would flock to Orlando in the late summer/fall, and stay at Disney for Rack Rate because they want to see HP.

I am no expert just trying to figure it all out and plan my vacation, but it seems to me that the theory that makes the most sense is the one where pwople said Disney is hurting bad for the summer and wants to shore up summer ressies before attracting people to the fall.
