Took Jetblue out of Boston at 6:30am flight. Take off was delayed for some reason, the flight itself was great, no problems at all. {im not big on flying either}
Arrived 1/2 hour late, found impatient looking car driver waiting for us, luggage took another 25 minutes for some unknown reason. Took tiffany town car. The car was very dirty.... the rugs clean, but the interior was realy bad and i was not pleased. The driver did his best to try and start conversation and was basicaly pleasant once he saw i was not put off by his impatient attitude when we first encountered him.
Arrived at POFQ checked in luggage with bell services outside, proceeded to check-in and was told room was ready. Nice surprise
no waiting for checkin either. The desks were all fully maned. Decided to eat in sassagoula floatworks at POFQ before going to room. Used Q&C vouchers.
My stupidity here:
Order everyone a plate ... dd-16 chicken basket with fries drink and giant sundae, ds-11 burger fries enormous ice cream sandwhich cookie, dd-7 same as ds, myself- ceaser chicken wrap, chips, soda, giant sundae. Used 4 Q&C vouchers, meal total 52.00. Saved 8.00. Too much food... those ie cream sandwhiches are ridiculously huge. Could easily have gotten away with using 2 vouchers splitting meals and deserts.
Went to room had bell services bring luggage over. Room was clean, could have been cleaner in the bathroom, spacious and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, at night it was dead silent. I loved it. I originaly was booked at ASMu and switched it two weeks ago because i was worried about the noise the bell ringers and chorus' and bands were going to be making over there. So glad i changed it, best move i made.
And let me just tell you about the beds!! The beds at POFQ were like sleeping on a cloud. I didnt check what brand they are, but i was so comfortable.
We all were.
Off to MGM~ We all did rides... had a 4:55pm PS at Sci-fi.
I showed up early and they had no issue telling me i was early by 15 minutes and that i would not be called until it was my ps time and 20 minutes past that. Ok so i go to the store attached to them {sorry didnt catch name of it} pick up two things, going to have them ordered to the room and suddenly the waitress is yelling my name into the store, sees me and gets all huffy that i have to fill out this form to have the purchased items sent to the room. ok so done with that off to eat. First, the car is cute, the movies they show are NOT movies, they are clips no different than a clip you see during a commercial for a movie that is airing on that station. Not even as long as a trailor. Kids were totaly uninterested, even my ds-11 who is a huge sci-fi movie fan. Order 2 kids meals, two adult meals, i had flat iron steak, dd-16 had ribs, i also ordered a marhgarita. Food was horrible! Simply horrible! none of us enjoyed it, it was to dark in that place to see your food, i was making a mess, couldnt see how cooked or not cooked my meat was, the table is to small so there is no room for a drink and the meal or any condiments. Bill totals: $101.00. And BTW for those who ask on this and the other boards... tips are not included. I was under the impression that tips were included down there and they are not. Not for regular ps seating.... or even for the character breakfasts. I was dismayed to find that out on the trip and not learn it here.
Will not be returning to sci-fi-yucky-rip off.
Saw osbourne lights, they were wonderful.Went on more rides before we left, closed the park tired off to bed.
