Hey, we went to the Candy Cauldron our first day at Disney this past September/October. I had been looking forward to going to the Candy Cauldron, because I love candy, and love snow white. This is why we went there the first day.
When we got there we asked the cast member behind the counter which candy's we could get. She showed us a large array. We got two items. They were about 3 dollars each. Certainly not 4.
When we got up to the register the guy there was a little rude and refused to let us use our snack credits on the DDP. He told us that only things 2.50 dollars and under were snacks. I was shocked. I told him what the other person had said, and he said she was wrong. The other person didn't speak a lot of English (though she seemed sweet) and she apologized and said she must have been mistaken.
I told him that I had thought almost any product in the park under 4 dollars was usually a snack. He told me no, it was 2.50. My mother didn't want to cause a problem, nor did I. So we just didn't argue it.
But I do want to know... was this man correct, or was I correct? He also mumbled something about how little he was getting paid while we were there and didn't seem happy at all to be at work. Either way it came off as a bad experience.
Everywhere else in the park, however, we had a great time and got a great value for our snack credits. Including crumb cake at the mainstreet bakery, and a box of cookies at our resort lobby.
