So I want to hack the magic express.

We have flights that leave around 10 on as Saturday morning and are direct so we get in around 12:30...don't hate. :D

Hack the Express
Can we take the magical express to the Contemporary instead of the resort we are staying in? I sure don't want to go to my resort and then do transportation al the way to the MK.

Is this possible?

I don't think it is possible - they know what resort you are going to and put you into the appropriate line. They then recheck that you are getting on the correct bus as you walk toward the bus.

They know what resort by scanning your magic band or travel documents and if you don't have those things they look you up on the computer.

No, They will take you to your own resort. If you want to go to Magic Kingdom, than you should probably gather your luggage, and take an Uber or cab from airport instead

What would they do with their luggage at the Magic Kingdom though?

Why would we hate that you are taking a flight to WDW?

The only way you could get off at CR is of you had no carryons that would have to go under the bus (there's only room in the passenger compartment to humans and "personal item" size things...roller bags go underneath) AND you were assigned a bus that is also stopping at CR.

Not all buses go everywhere and you can't go on a bus assigned to resorts that don't include yours.

But you'll still have to deal with the bags you've carried on the plane. Where are you putting those?

Just get on your bus, leave carryons with Bell, and head over to the park of your choice.

As for the rest of the bags if they took a taxi etc....that's a question to be contemplated while reading this thread from Transportation. http://www.disboards.com/threads/dme-luggage-only-dont-want-to-ride-the-bus.2015788/

Nope, inbound you get on the bus that is assigned to your resort. The only way you could do this is a) you had no luggage with you, yellow tagged everything and you carryons were fine to spend the day in the park and b) your bus route was stopping at the Contemporary. You can get off at any stop on the route, but you can't get on another route.

What would they do with their luggage at the Magic Kingdom though?

You could leave it at Contemporary bell services. Just make sure to tip. Most people would recommend doing cab/Uber to Contemporary anyway and then walking over, otherwise you need to transfer at the TTC to monorail/ferry.

Nope. You have to take the bus to your own resort, not any other one.

You check in at DME. Your magic band, or voucher, gets scanned. You are directed to the appropriate bus line for your resort. When you get to the end of this line, your band is scanned again. You are directed to the bus for your resort. There really is no longer any way to hop into the line firva different resort. There used to be signs for each resort. No longer.
So no. You either take DME to your resort and then go to MK, or take private transportation and go to MK.
DME is not intended to be personalized transportation!!

What does that mean? I am confused? LOL when I fly I have a direct flight and it takes 2 hours. And?

Right??? I am looking at flights at 6am with 3 adults and 2 kids; non-stop flights to land at 9:30am and be at our resort by 11am. I don't see anything exciting by OP's post.

He/she was making a joke for the people who don't have direct flights or who fly from somewhere other than 2 hours away. Lighten up people.

I would not count on being able to leave anything at Bell Services when you do not have a current or upcoming reservation at that hotel. If they do take it, it is a courtesy. I would not count on that courtesy happening. It could but just as easily could not. But good luck to you if you try it!

This is our flight time tomorrow morning!

I took it as a joke to not hate that they are getting to Disney so early. Maybe. No matter what, I took it as a joke and really gave it no other thought. Not sure why so many want to make issue with that one part of the post.

OP: Sorry you do not get in until late in the morning. It is so hard to wait to get to the World.:duck:

As others have said, the ME only takes you to the resort you have a reservation. If it is important that you do not have to go to your resort before you go to a park, I would setup a pickup with a car service or rent a car. Then you know for sure you can go straight to a park.

Angi, it's not an issue. It's a question. Some of you are making a jump to understand it, and in this case I'd rather know what they meant. So I asked. But there's no issue. If there were I wouldn't have also answered the question, because I'd be so stuck on the confusing part.
