traveling to disney? anyone worried about h!N1? what are your thoughts?

Everyone is making too big of a deal about this.
It's a normal flu, it's just new so everyone freaks.
The only people who have died from it are people with poor immune systems.
The "normal" flu kills more people every year than swine flu.

I just went to Disney and I'm perfectly fine.

I'm not worried about it, I have a good immune system and I think I'll be fine when I go. People get too worked up over something new they turn it into something bigger then it is. I'm going to be extra careful when I go, because I don't want it.

I agree with you! However, i am a little worried about catching it myself. lol I've been washing my hands and using hand cleaner more than often.

the overuse of hand cleaners and sanitizers is part of what's leading to so many more people getting sick. I know people who sanitize after touching anything at all. It's ridiculous. If you don't allow yourself to pick up at least a few germs to keep you immune system up-to-date, you're going to get really sick when you do manage to pick up an illness.

Part of the reason I never have to miss school is because I don't wash after every meal, every time I walk down the stairs and use the railing, every time I step outside. I get sick, but only barely. It's usually gone no time and I don't get big things in big ways. I don't get the flu full force, a little headache or a cold maybe, but in the last 8 years (that's how long it's been since the one time I missed anything because of an illness) I've never gotten nauseaus or sick from anything like that.

Now, I'm not saying that you should go completely without washing your hands, I do after every time I use the bathroom and after a greasy meal or if I've been playing an outdoor sport that got my hands dirty. It amaze me to see people with pocket sanitizer pull it out at the bottom of a staircase after using the railing.

Nope, at this point I'm not too concerned. College campuses are where its supposed to hit the worst.

Now, I was really sick this past spring/early summer and I'm about 98% sure I already had it due to that a friend got sick after me (when the flu pandemic was all over the news), and her test was +. Her illness course was the EXACT same as mine was. Weird huh?
