DS who is 8 got the H1N1 mist at the beginning of November, but he has not had his second dose yet. When it was time for the second dose, his clinic didn't have any in stock. Then he had a stopped up nose when the schools in our area had their clinic.

Has it been too long in between doses at this point to do any good? Do I still need to get him the second dose?

I am not sure what they are recommending right now. Does anyone know? Any advice would be great! Thanks!

Second dose is still recommended. Technically, there needs to be 28 days between the 1st and 2nd dose. Most people are just told to come back in 1 month. Just easier to remember.

It's not too late for the 2nd dose. It can go over the 28 day period no problem.

My 5 yr old had her first dose in November it was at her school. Unfortunately, they did not come back to her school(the public health department)but gave us a list of places to go. Frankly, I didn't want to wait in line a the other places. When it was given at her school, it was an in an out thing. She was able to get the mist, so that was easy enough. Last week I took my 5 yr old to the dr because she had strep throat, while she was there, they gave her the 2nd dose. The dr said it wasn't a problem as long as it was more then 28 days apart.
