Hello,
I have booked for us to stay here in June. Really looking forward to it! But I am a bit weary about it as I have only stayed on disney property before!

Has anyone stayed here before? Can you give me tips about it and also how easy it is to get to parks etc?

Also one of my main worries is checking in because we are getting the direct eurostar to dlp so really want to make the most of our 2 days by getting straight into the parks BUT I am worried that if we wait until the park shuts to go to the hotel we will be to late to check in? Has anyone checked in late in the evening here before? What would your advice be?
Thank you
xx

My advice would be to email the hotel and inform them that you will be checking in late. Then you don't have to worry! I wouldn't want to waste time to-ing and fro-ing just to check in!!!

They do have a 24hr reception - but still I would inform them of when you expect to check in.

Hi Sammy

WE've booked to stay here in July and got a great price on travelrepublic !

Im too freakin out as we've only stayed onsite b4 also but Im excited about being able to eat in val d europe and take in the aquarium and shopping.

We bought dream annual passes so will still get EMH but are worried about catching the train early with 2 prams?
Is it an easy trek? And do the trains run early? Many thanks.

have a fab time sammy !

Trains start around 5.30 am and end at 1.00 am so you'll have no pb getting one for EMH. They run about every 15 mins and it just 1 stop, takes 5 mins to get there.

There's lifts to and from the plateforms

If you look at the hotel website they also talk about having a free shuttle bus to and from the parks

:)

The free shuttle stop is just outside the hotel (on the opposite of the road when heading to Disney). One thing to bear in mind about using the bus is the timetable may not operate at times that suit you - so using the train on those occasions is definitely best). For example the first bus on the current timetable (see http://en.hotelelysee.com/233-the-hotel/722-shuttle-to-disneyland-paris.html) is 8:53 which is not much use for EMH for those with Dream APs.

Excellent! Hope you have a great time too :) I am still debating wether to take pushchair, our son is 3 and does not use it anymore but could be handy for if he gets tired!
You will have to look out for my tr and I will try and give you as many tips as I can about hotel etc

Thanks everyone for your replys! I will email hotel

We are staying here too at the end of April - I'll let you know how it goes :) We have stayed in Val D Europe before and found it very easy with the trains - so quick.

Thank you :) can you remember how much the train is roughly?

It's around 13,70€ for a carnet of 10 tickets for adults and half price for one for children over 4 and under 10.

Under 4's are free.

Buying a carnet gives you 20% off the price of buying 10 single tickets :)

I stayed at this hotel during my trip to DLP in June 2009. Although a few years have past since then I can still share the experience I had. As much as I would have loved to stay onsight, this hotel was ideal for just a place to stay for the night - which is literally all we needed. On arrival we handed in our luggage at the Disney Express counter and headed straight for the parks (the luggage arrived at the hotel with no trouble). Once the parks had closed we headed to the bus stop with the view that buses were ran on a regular basis - BIG mistake. We ended up waiting well over an hour in the cold! What ever you do make sure you check the timetable, this is something we could have avoided had we not assumed the shuttle was as regular as the buses for onsight hotels. Once finally arriving at the hotel we did a late check in with no problems, our luggage was stored in a cupboard by reception until we collected it. In 2009 hotel guests could participate in EMH (not sure if this is still the case) but strangely the morning shuttle was not run early enough to accomodate for this! Taking the train is a good option and only takes a few minutes. However, the staff member I encountered at the station was really unhelpful and despite asking, only after we purchused the wrong tickets did she come out and assist us! No reflection on the hotel though. All in all I would probably stay here again. Hope this helps!

Thank you both, we are just staying for one night so will prob just buy single train tickets, I can see that they will be very cheap looking at the price for the booklet of ten! So think we will use the train rather than the shuttle, we cant really be hanging around with a 3 year old in tow!
How much does the disney express luggage service cost? Atm I am thinking of putting our case (its only small) in the lockers while we are in the parks, but if the express luggage is not to much I might do that.

I think that because we booked directly with Disney it was included in our package, but we also used the lockers on our day of return after we checked out so no problems there either!

We are taking our pushchairs even though our boys will be 3 and 4 - too much walking would only ruin their enjoyment. We are entitled to the free pushchair each too so will play it by ear to see how it goes in the park.

Am delighted with the times guys - thanks for info and pricing info !
We are really just looking for a place to sleep and intend on being outta the hotel all day, the saving for us was the decider.

Gotta love Disney:hippie:
