What do you think?

I think it is cute for now. Don't know how much a teenager will appreciate being called Apple, though:rolleyes:

Only in Hollywood!

And here I was worried about the name Sebastian!

Maybe the next few will be Orange, Pear and Grape.

My sister's friend named her kids Maple and Cedar. Guess she likes trees.

Did she ahve the baby??? I thought she wasn't due untill later...like June??? Maybe it's a cutesy "in utero" nickname.

Thats, um...interesting...

I think I'm goin to name my first child Bling Bling. Work for a girl, or a boy... ;)

Yes, baby born yesterday, weighed 9lbs 11ozs so it wasn't early at all ;) Apple, I'm not sure I could do that to a child.

Or the next one can be Pie or Dumpling or even Cider! Think how cute that'll sound when they're both playing outside and she calls them in for supper!:rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm gonna name my kids One, Two, Three, etc.

Makes it easier to line them up, and organize them.

Maybe she was thinking "AHHHHHHhhhhhh, shes the APPLE of my eye"?

Maybe she just wants to be different.... at some point, most kids don't LIKE being different or having a name that others will make fun of.

Either way not a very pretty name IMHO.

Wonder where she really did get the idea from?

Sigh...Gwynnie usually has such taste, but that is a bad, bad name. Maybe not now, but when she's older.

I wonder what they would have named a boy?

eta: the child DOES have a few other names though....Apple Blythe Allison Martin. She can take her pick from Blythe and Allison later on if Apple proves too ridiculous to her.

hyzdufan,
Your response made me laugh out loud! Think of all the problems this would solve!

I guess the Apple didn't fall too far from the tree....

OK I've had my laugh for the morning. Thanks

I'm off to get #2 up and make sure the uniform is washed for #3's little league game.

Won't even comment on what I think about Apple for a name.

Reminds me of that movie "What A Girl Wants" where those two girls are named Peach & Pear. Come to think of it, her husband is from England. Is it popular to name your kids after fruit there? Can anyone confirm? ;)

Apple??? Did she get the kid from the produce section or what?? I do like different names but good grief.
Bob Geldorf has a dd named Fifi Trixiebelle and Peaches. He also adopted his x-wifes dd (both parents are dead) and her name is Heavenly Hirana Tiger Lily.

I don't like it. I don't mind different names but that one just seems odd. Good that she has 2 more to *pick* from.

And Fifi Trixiebelle? I have no words for that one.:(

And in 1986 I thought " Whitney" would be to trendy :earseek:

Apple...OMG. I wonder if Bruce and Demi's Rumour, Scout or Tallulah Belle will be her babysitter.

Maybe she will go by Allison.

I kinda think it's cute...
Apple Blythe Alison Martin
I would totally shorten my first name to Aba though. heheh...well, in my teens I would. Aba Martin? Really cute...trendy, well yea, but so is Jordan, Aiden, Skylar, etc...

she's one big apple though - 9lbs 11 oz? Dang! And Gwneth was
tiny pre-baby.
