Wondering anybody knows if I can bring in a DJI Osmo Mobile 7 camera stabilizer? Here is a link to the item in question. DJI Osmo Mobile 7

I believe they don’t allow selfie sticks and this isn’t a selfie stick. It’s to record video and eliminate shake so it looks more smooth and natural .

Wouldn't that fall under the reference to tripods/monopod sticks on the Permitted Items page of the DL website? Or are you asking whether your item wouldn't be classified like that?

Not sure if DL would see it as a tripod or something else. I suppose technically it can be viewed as a tripod because it does have a tripod feature and it does fit inside a backpack.

Was just curious to know if someone else has already used one inside the park and if they had any problems clearing security?

I have brought in that very device several times with no problem. Security asks if it extends and I tell them it doesn’t.

My wife brought her own gimbal a few times and one time while in the park a CM came up and told her it wasn’t allowed and security would get her for it. We told her she was wrong and we never had another problem, lol.

Husband tried to bring in a similar device one time and was told no selfie sticks (it's not a selfie stick) allowed and he could throw it away or take it back to our hotel. Now he had brought it in the previous two days and we saw others with such devices, but my husband didn't want to attempt another line or bringing it the next day so he took it back to our hotel and left it there for the rest of the trip. I believe that the security guard simply didn't understand the rule or perhaps what the device was, but be prepared to explain and/or go to a different line. It should be allowed.

It all depends on the Security Cast Member some allow it and others don't.

I know sounds weird but that's the truth, it's one of the oddest departments when it comes to certain rule enforcement.
