Okay I admit it I love trash tv. Anway, if you watch GS can someone tell me where Nettie's husband is and how she is able to support herself and if all the 9 kids are from one husband?

Probably in prison or maybe he just didnt want to be seen on camera since some of their jobs arent always legal?

I love the show it just sucks you in my DH on the other hand cant stand it!

Me too! It is like a car wreck. At first I did not want to watch but then like HOney Boo Boo they are all so alien to what I am used to that it amazes me that people really live and act like that.

If I got my "sisters" right, Nettie's husband has been seen on the show and he was on last night. Looks and sounded like a nice guy. I don't usually watch these shows, but I can't help myself on this one. Its a train wreck and I can't help myself! Its like a chocolate Mickey pop. Sucks me in every time!! LOL!

I think one of them said that all their husbands were blacktoppers on the episode where they were shopping for a new RV--and that they took the RVs and followed their husbands south in the winter so they could work. I was wondering what they did about school for all those kids when they did that--and where Nettie would put 9 kids in a camper!

Me too! It is like a car wreck. At first I did not want to watch but then like HOney Boo Boo they are all so alien to what I am used to that it amazes me that people really live and act like that.

I did not see him are you sure it was not Kayla's husband? Nettie is the one with the 9 kids. I know they were going tubing and there was a man driving the camper but I could not see him only his back. Nettie is the one who has ....and OMG I am so using this term sOOOO LOOSELY the most class when compared to the rest of them.

I noticed you live in MA...just so you know in the past when we purchased cars many dealerships would have "runners" bring the paperwork to the registry..they would not allow the purchaser to do this. Stupid me, I just assumed it was an employee of the dealership. Once I was at the registry and noticed these people of questionable reputation getting in the line many times for registration. When I asked my insurance man about this he said that they were gypsies and they were the RUNNERS for the car dealerships. He said that they had like whole families (which is what I saw) and they just took turns getting in line over and over b/c the registry would allow one car's worth of paperwork at at time.

Talk about a fox in a hen house. Needless to say I have NEVER allowed the car dealership to do my paperwork for me again! They told me they no longer do it and I said "No kidding I saw the people you entrusted with MY personal info." So bottom line if you buy a car in MA be SURE they do not insist on letting them do the running for you.

Those little girls especially don't have a chance...they make it very clear that the role of a gypsy woman is to get married (super young), clean, and have kids, and it doesn't look like there's any chance for them if they'd rather stay in school, go to college, etc. It's unclear to me whether the kids are even in school?!?

I got sucked into the marathon on tv over the weekend though and just could not stop watching...

I watched Myrtle Manor, which has it's own type of crazy right before this. But I can't watch these Gypsy shows. These poor kids. How many generations of people grow up with no foundation or education? Reality shows with just adults are one thing, but these kids break my heart.

I am in Mass also they have a whole neighborhood around here up off Route 1 they have been around forever. I graduated with some Stanley's.

There are actually 2 "Netties" - I believe the "matriarch" is Nettie, and the younger looking sister with the long dark hair is also a "Nettie" but goes by a different name on the show.

I tried watching this season but couldn't get into it. Maybe it will be easier to watch when school starts...

Huey Stanley is a crook and has been arrested multiple times in West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Just google his name with the word SCAM included and you can read what he's been doing over the last decade to support his family. He was recently running this same scam in Tennessee and is wanted as we speak.
