Gymboree, I got gymbucks but they have nothing.

I have 9 Gymbucks and couldn't find much to buy at all - we spent 4 Gymbucks, but part of that was a gift for my Godson too. Our store was very picked over. Normally I can call and they'll put my clothes aside, but there wasn't anything in the new lines that wowed! me enough to do that, so I just bought a few things and some staples like socks and tights.

Happy Gymbo shopping to all, Tiger

What do you mean by 9? They are starting at $25. Each is at least that or more depending on how much you had spent when you earned it. I had 4 for $25 and 1 worth $50

OH.. .but they aren't all in 25 increments...depends on what you bought. Some can be 50 or more.

The base of a gymbuck is 25 dollars. They are accumulated in 25 dollar increments.

I know that...but what I am saying is that I have never referred to people saying a number like 9...Usually you say I have 125 or soemthing, because one paper gymbuck can be 25 or it can be 50 or it can be 100! You don;t get a paper for each 25 one.

That is just how it is assumed. Many people trade swap and sell gymbucks. They refer to them as a number they have of them. Nit a dollar amount. Even I'd some of her gymbucks say 75 dollars. She is refering to that gymbuck as three gymbucks. Because if she had only spent 149 dollars during gymbuck accumulation. She would have only recieved 2 gymbucks to spend during redemption. Not 74 dollars. So no matter what it says on your reciept 75 gymbucks. Is just accounted for as I have three of them. Also online the gymbucks come as a combined number. Many times in the store they are printed out as individual 25 dollar codes.

I've been doing gymbucks for quite awhile and have never heard of them referred that way....but I never sell or swap for the most part. When I do give one away it's usually to a friend and I tell them the amount. So maybe thats why I never heard of it phrased that way before.

Not around here - I am a very regular Gymbo customer. One of their best, and we all discuss it in terms of how many Gymbucks we have. This has nothing to do with swapping or selling - I've never done that, nor will I ever. You have to attach your Gymbuck to your receipt, so they are mine and mine alone! The only thing close to swapping is when my mom or sister and go shopping together. We are all regulars, so we sometimes share with each other, if we are buying gifts for the kids.

To each their own, Tiger

I am too a great customer. They great me when I walk in. LOL! But they use it in terms of total amounts at our store. Like you earn 25 gymbucks, or 100 gymbucks...etc. It could have to do with locations. I know different parts of the country do things differently.

Yup, same here. We are in Canada, so it's probably just different strokes for different folks.

Happy shopping, Tiger :)

I agree.. I refer to mine as having a 100 gymbucks or whatever aswell... I am just trying to explain what the original Poster was saying...that another poster found confusing.
Personally I had 200 gymbucks this go round and spend every penny and then some!:thumbsup2

Can you trade Gymbucks now? I read somewhere that you can't, the original purchaser has to redeem them.

I have $25 and can't seem to find anything I like other than that purple bathing suit with the flowers on it.

aslong as the orginal reciept is with the gymbuck you can... for in store purchases... if they are going to order online...all they need is the code and pin number

Disappointed here too. I have $150 and don't know what to spend on. I used to combine Gymbucks with items that were on sale, but there's very little left in DD's size in the sale. Nothing in the new lines is wow-ing me. :confused3

remember the gymbo backrooms are FULL of stuff! If you go in and say I want to see anything you have in a size 6 from the button or panda line they will bring it out for you. You just have to ask for what you want.
