GV Points

I just booked a GV at OKW for 5 nights in October next year, and I'm totally pumped about that. We're staying Sunday through Thursday night, which totals 190 points. But after I gave the CM my info, she said "you'll need 395 points for your stay." I knew that was wrong and told her so. It turns out that somehow she had looked up a GV at BWV by mistake, and she quickly got straightened out.

I have to say I'm kind of stunned by the discrepancy in points, though. The same nights that are 190 points at OKW are more than doubled for a similar room at BWV! I knew that they guessed low when the points were originally set up at OKW and bumped them up quite for the next onsite resort. But I guess I never knew that they doubled them.

So now you know another reason (besides how impressive they are) why those OKW Grand Villas are so popular and so tough to get if you are not an OKW owner!

Yep - 38 points for one of those spectacular villas is a major bargain.

The OKW GVs are definitely a bargain, but I would offer that the BW GVs aren't necessarily a bad deal...

Just returned from three nights in OKW Grand Villa...awesome! We had requested to be near HH and ended up in a villa about as far from HH as we could possibly have been (Villa 49) but we ended up really liking our location...good proximity to the more peaceful Turtle Pond pool as well as positioning us well for our walk to the spa at Saratoga. I so prefer OKW to Bw because I don't have to deal with interior hallways. I really like having a car right outside my door and also like being able to get outside from the front or the back of my villa to enjoy the great Florida weather. I know that lots of people love BW, too, but I am happy to own at OKW and get a wonderful vacation for very few points! Guess I feel more like I am getting a "deal." Any questions about OKW or the GV?
