GUYS, THIS IS IT! THIS IS THE DROP!!! August 2015 trip report- Updated 8/8

Oh how I wish I made rope drop at MK after all the rides you got in! We were just so slow going this year. I think I'm due for a solo trip sometime so I can get up early and get to rope drop, have a little nap/break in the afternoons and stay up late for EMH. Hahahaha

Great shots! I especially love the ones from the Frozen Summer Fun Parade! I love how close up you got. They are awesome.

Did they not have the single rider line open for RnRC?

Looking forward to seeing more!

Hello fellow English person! :wave2: I've just been reading your report, it's so much fun! Your story regarding the title made me laugh, whenever I ride Splash no one seems to have a clue what's going on, I always hear people in the boat going "Is this is... IS THIS IT?!?!?!" Now I'm just going to want to go "...YES." and the fact that you do it on the monorail, OMG. :rotfl2:

You're so lucky to stay at the Yacht Club, it's on my bucket list for sure. And your view!! Holy moly! You take some amazing photos, these two are my favourites:

BRB, going to follow your Instagram from your signature :lovestruc

Wait... You were running on 3 hours sleep...?!?! You're crazy  I find that when I'm in the parks after not much sleep, occasionally I hate everyone and everything (if it's really busy), but most of the time I'm completely delirious and ridiculous, and probably getting high on sugar :hyper:

Ha, are we the same person? I took about 4,000

Gahh you all look so nice! I want all three of those dresses :cutie:

Your MK day sounds like so much fun! I loved how the Space Mountain photo came out :rotfl:

They are the BEST!!

You have the most precious family ever! I'm looking forward to hearing more about your trip :goodvibes

Hey Katie! I'm so happy you're reading! I LOVE your reports! It seems as though you use just as many exclamation marks as me! :rotfl:

Ahaha! It's one of the reasons that I love splash so much!

I think we are actually the same person! I mean, we're both British, both crazy photo takers and we both get a bit crazy when sleep deprived, i mean, this is literally me: :jumping1:

Thank you so much for reading!

Hello. We absolutely love the Yacht Club!!! Its my favorite!!!! Great trip report but I have to ask, what camera are you using? Your parade pics turned out fantastic!!! Cant wait for more.....:worship:

It's the Nikon D3200, it's a great entry level DSLR, it takes really good pictures even on auto (although i do recommend trying to figure out some of the settings! It's not too pricey for a dslr either to be fair. :goodvibes

Hi Rachel! I'm Emily- glad to be following along! Someone in your family (you, I'm guessing?) is a great photographer. Enjoying the pictures in your intro post already! I had to laugh at your trip title explanation- my sister and I are not splash people but we decided to ride last year and we were screaming in terror at practically every other little drop because we were sure it was going to be the big one. I think our fellow log-mates were happy when the real drop finally came, haha!

That traffic is crazy but I'm glad you guys made it from Miami to Disney! Holy moly- what a beautiful view from your room! Such a welcome sight after all that travel, I'd imagine. Those sunrise pictures are beautiful as well! Yay'll look so cute in your dresses too.

Really enjoyed your Frozen parade pictures too. Never saw that one myself but it looks fun! All your goodies from Starring Rolls look tasty :thumbsup2

Hi Emily! Yes it is me taking the pictures! Thank you very much!
Haha, that's so funny! Well done for going on it anyway :rotfl: You guys must have been so scared!
Oh yes! It really was, i think the fact that it had been such a long journey made me appreciate it even more.
Thank you for reading! :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh, you got some really fantastic pics of the Frozen parade!!! I love the wink from Kristoff. ;)

I say every trip I'm going to get one of those red velvet cupcakes and I have yet to do it! In February, I'm absolutely setting a goal of getting one of those!!!

I totally feel your pain.

Haha! Thank you! The wink was awesome! Oh my goodness! You have to get one! Let me know how it is! Glad you enjoyed it!

I remember your last TR so had to read this one too :)

You take lovely photos and we're going to be there for similar dates next summer before my DD's start Uni so I'll be looking at the crowds, or hopefully lack of crowds, in your photos :goodvibes

Haha, really? So glad you're reading this! Thanks so much! I think i'll be there again that time too! That's very exciting. It was fairly crowded for august but near the end they REALLY thinned out and it was amazing!

Joining in! Your family is adorable. Yacht Club looks like a dream! I can't wait to read more.

It was amazing! So happy you're joining in! Thank you!

Yes, it's definitely worth it, making rope drop! You can get so much done! That certainly sounds like a good plan to me evening extra magic hours are also a great time to get things done, if you can stay all the way through, at the end you can literally loop rides like big thunder loads of times! I even managed to walk into Anna and Elsa!
Thank you so much! No the single rider line wasn't open unfortunately otherwise that would hav ebeen way better!
Thank you so much for reading!

Joining in and loving this trip report! :D:D:D:D I'm really enjoying your fantastic pictures, the sunrise over crescent lake and the Frozen parade pictures were really amazing, may I ask what camera you used?

Thanks you so much! I used a nikon D3200 for most of the photos!

Boat ride back to the hotel

We decided to take a relaxing boat ride around my very favourite area back to our resort.

We headed to the beach club when we got back, it’s got such a beautiful exterior, and the SMELL inside is AMAZING!!!

We went into the marketplace, filled up our mugs and went, past the amazing Stormalong bay, back to our room.

We all changed and felt refreshed after our little break and headed out again at around 2 o clock so we could catch Festival of Fantasy again. We walked outside over to the lobby and stopped to take a few pictures of our outfits along the way.

YES we were Disneybounding! Emma and I were both Rapunzel and Katie was Snow. Although, when we got to the bus stop, we started talking to this cast member who thought that Katie was Cinderella?

We had the most beautiful bus stop waiting area.

This sign was on the side of the room nearest the yacht club,

And this sign on the side nearest the beach club!

And here's another picture of me in my outfit.

Oh fun shots! I love the Disneybounding... but... duh CM! LOL She is obviously Snow White!

I love that you each have your own DSLRs, I think it's great to teach the young to use real cameras for photography and not just rely on cell phones. :)

Love love love your pictures around the Epcot resorts area! It's one of my favourite places :lovestruc
And your Disneybounding looks great, how could that CM think Katie was Cinderella?! I love that you all have the same length and colour hair, you could almost pass for triplets! :dance3: Where did you get the flower headbands from? They're preciousss :cutie:

Great update and pictures, this one was my favorite:

I saw you had a tripod, is that the secret to great pictures? Do you use it for the majority of your pictures in the parks? I'm so impressed with all your great pictures :flower:

Happy Birthday!!!! We stayed at YC this year too and loved it but your view was WAY better!!! Also, I just love your ride photos - the expressions

Thanks! Yeah, we all love using our cameras, phone cameras are great sometimes, but I love the quality a DSLR gives! Thanks for reading!

That picture of you and your sisters on the boat is so cute! Love your 'bounding outfits!

Awww, thanks so much! Thank you for reading!

Love your outfits. That sounds like one dense CM, obviously Snow White!

I know right! How did she get a job at Disney?

Love love love your pictures around the Epcot resorts area! It's one of my favourite places :lovestruc

Thanks! They're from Primark! Thanks so much for reading Katie! I need to get caught up on yours!!!

Thanks, I really like that picture too! :goodvibes
I only really use my tripod when I shoot fireworks, but next time i might use it for the fountain of nations and some more night shots aswell!

It's a Festival of Fantasy!

We got to Magic Kingdom around three which was good time since the parade wouldn’t reach Main Street for a good 20 minutes. Katie, Emma and Dad got a front row spot to the side of the train station right where you enter if you go right, next to town square. Mum and I went under the train station, where you could see the castle (although you can’t really see it in my photos).

Speaking of pictures, I only went and took 400 photos (this became a habit) I’ll show you a few of my favorites.

She noticed my disneybound!

I'll be shooting for my own hand!

After the parade, we decided to do something that I’ve never ever done before… Meet Tinkerbell!!! I was really excited. I don’t know why I’d never met her before, I mean I love her! It’s just one of those things you always wanna do but you just never get round to it.

She was so cute! She was talking to us about dancing and how that was my pixie talent! She was so much fun, I can’t wait to meet her again!

After meeting Tink, we headed up the street on our way to meet the Royals. We took a few pictures in our outfits.

Thanks! I love those kinds of photo aswell, they look so good!

The CM thought she was Cinderella...REALLY?! Hers is the most obvious of the three of you!! lol Great Disneybounds though, I immediately recoginzed the two Rapunzels as well. Nicely done on the outfits!

Your FoF pictures are stunning!! The colors in that parade are so amazing. I love that Rapunzel noticed your Disneybound!

Great update! Yes, I love the Tink meet & greet, it's one of my favorites!

Your FoF parade pictures were so amazing!! W-O-W, and those were taken without a tripod, correct? I'm shopping for a new camera and your pictures want me to run out and buy the Nikon D3200. I usually just use auto mode, do you use different modes to get your great pictures on that camera?
