Guys, I need advice! HELP

I've been hanging out ALOT lately with my boyzzz, Mark G & Mark L.
(henceforth referred to as G & L)
It's mostly because I'm lonely without Derek, and they are my best friends.
Anyways, Last night @ midnight I get a txt saying
"I can't believe I'm losing you because you think I like Caitlin,
I swear I love only you, I'm sorry that you don't believe me anymore"
.....
Minutes later I get a call from L
L: Umm...I just sent you a text message that was meant for ( my GF) by accident...
Me: yeah....i was wondering what that was?
L: She broke up with me because she thinks I have feelings for you
Me:...oh, well...did you tell her that you don't
L:..yeah.
Me: I'm really sorry.
L: Don't worry. I'm sorry if you're embarassed or if this is awkward for you. Sorry to bug you, goodnight.

advice anyone? I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO RIGHT NOW???
anyone ever been in a similar situation??
should i apologize to his GF? should i stop hanging out with him?
should i just pretend like nothing happened??

I have this HIDEOUS feeling of guilt in the pit of my stomach.
I feel terrible that she broke up with him over NOTHING,
there is NOTHING between us other than friendship,
and I don't want him to lose someone he loves over that.

Odd, yesterday I saw something very similar to this happen on the tv show one on one.
My advice: If you act like nothing's happening that girl will be hurting even more. I say you should march right up to her, and tell her that nothings going on and that you too have been friends for a long time, and nothing but friends. I'd say also add in "and L really likes you, he told me he has never met a girl like you before, and your really special to him plus L's like a brother to me so like liking him is like eww!" Also if the girl is angry I suggest writing her a note or calling insted of talking to her face-to-face

Aw, that's a tough situation. :/
I think you should just tell L's girlfriend the truth. Just say that you never had any serious relationship with him, other than just friendship. And I think you should say it in person, because I think it's easier to tell if you're telling the truth if you say it in person. I'd be a bit suspicious and insecure if it was texted, over the phone, or in a note.

I would tell his girlfriend through a text.
She probably still resents you a little, if you did it in person she might react violently.

You know what REALLY sucks...
is she is one of the managers at our work.

if she's all biotchy to me @ work tonight though I think I'm just gonna have to be realy straight with her and be like "listen, NOTHING is happeneing with Mark & I, he loves you, I love my boyfriend, we are friends and have been for a long time end of story"
(i'll PROBABLY be a teensy bit nicer than that though...teehee)


I think this'll work out though, probabl not immediatley, but with time for sure it should.

Aww sorry to hear your in this situation. This isn'ty your fault. IMO, it doesn't seem like she really thinks he likes you. To me it seems like she is just jealous because you guys are such good friends. She is probably just insecure. Just tell her that nothing happened and that you love Derek and that Mark loves her. If she still doesn't belive you, that is something she needs to think about. You can't make her believe you. Give her some time, I'm sure she'll come around.

that's kind of a tough scenario, and I'm sorry that you've been put smack dab in the middle. :x but I think if you tell his gf about it, then her feelings will get hurt. Maybe you should mention that you and him are just friends? Like casually be like "He's a really great friend to me you know." instead of "He doesn't like me like that." becuase then she may get defensive.

And as for the "should we stop hanging out"...ABSOLUTELY NOT! The poor boy would have lost two important people over one silly misunderstanding! Just keep hanging out with your friend, listen to him when he needs to vent, and tell him that everything's going to be okay. If the gf broke up with him over something so stupid, she probably doesn't deserve him anyways!

thats a bad position to be put in, but if you think about it, you had nothing to do with this. just stay cool and keep things up the way you have been. i wouldnt end a friendship because of a misunderstanding from someone who isnt even part of the friendship

ive have that done to me. But dont you see how its kinda weird
how a text about you meant for someone else. ended up
being sent to you!! I mean thats just what im thinking. So i really

I agree. It does seem like he sent it you you on purpose. If he was replying to a text, he would;ve just hit reply. And it seems, by what you said the text said, that he was replying to something she wrote.
