Guy Fieri - Diners, Drive Ins and Dives

The only complaint I have is do NOT watch this show when you're dieting!! And I try to watch it when I'm eating or right after I've eaten because it makes me SO hungry.
I absolutely agree.

There should be a disclaimer along the bottom of the screen. "Warning: watching this show is guaranteed to make you want to go out and eat something really rich and gooey and otherwise bad for you. Proceed with caution." :lmao:

I love this show... DBF wonders, when do they ever say eww gross that is disgusting....LOL

My DH says the same thing about Racheal Ray. He doesn't think she can like everything she tries on her traveling show.

Guy will how say something "that's interesting" or give a certain look if it's something he "isn't sure about"

I love Guy!!!

I'm waiting for Guy to come to a place close enough for us to visit. I suppose the places that he has visited in Pittsburgh are close, but so far nothing there has motivated me to make the drive. Love the show. Someday he'll discover a great place to eat here in NE Ohio. Until the, Skyline Chili (which was featured on another Food Network program) will have to suffice.

Both DH and I LOVE this show!!! We do wonder between Guy and the one who does Man Vs. Food on the travel channel, who has the worst heartburn after filming:rotfl:

Both of these guys are so fun to watch!!!

he was just here a few weeks ago and did a show on our local celebrity Chef Lou who has a drive in. He is famous for his prime rib, at a drive in!
Chef Lou is amazing!

I love Guy!

My DH and I love his shows especially his travel show......we've been to one of the places he featured....Chaps which is right outside of Baltimore(about an hour away).....it was the pit beef place and Duff from Ace of Cakes was part of the show also....funny thing about Chaps is it's in the parking lot of a "gentlemens' club"....that's how we remember where it is.....they have a great big framed poster of Guy in there and their food really is awesome.

I saw an episode where Guy didn't like something (it was some kind of gross soup)--he ate a tiny amount, made a face, and moved on. :lmao:

I love Guy--Triple D is my favorite show.

I agree about RR--there has to be something she doesn't like--we probably don't see those meals.

He's done a few places in my hometown of New Orleans. Trouble is, once a place is featured on the show, they become so popular you can't get in!

Love Guy!! When a couple friends and I stayed at the Encore hotel in Vegas back in early June, we were walking past the edge of the casino to get to the elevators and we all 3 stopped dead in our tracks suddenly. We looked at each other and said, "Is that Guy Fieri at the poker table??!!" It was!! So, one of my friends and I found a table at the lounge directly across from his gaming table and had a drink while watching him. In fairness, we didn't just stare at Guy, but also watched the folks heading to the nightclubs. But, we had a great time watching him! No food for him, but he definitely knocked back a few shots with his pals. Seemed like exactly the same guy he is on Triple D.

He did look over at us for a moment, probably because he was wondering who those creepy girls were that kept watching him, although I told my friend he was undoubtedly gazing at us longingly, but didn't dare speak to us because he was intimidated by our hotness... yeah, that's the ticket! ;)

We love watching Guy!! He makes you want to give something different a whirl. Love how when he's getting ready to bite into a big ol' sandwich, he always has to have his elbows out and a lot of room.

And DH would agree that they need to have a warning that watching will cause you to have to eat something. It never fails to send DH to kitchen to get something to chew on.

I believe that was Manudo (sp). It's made with tripe

There was one on just the other night, that he didn't look to thrilled to be trying. The restraunt was Jamaican something and he was eating something that had ox, pig, or cow tail in it. He did not look like he wanted to put in his mouth at all.

Far and away my favorite show on Food Network.

Can't blame him there. :lmao:

I only remember seeing him hestiate to try something once. I believe it was some kind of soup, was it the restaurant that was in the gas station or something like that, Mexican food maybe? Anyone remember? :rotfl:

I remember he really didn't want to eat menudo (the mexican stew, not the boy band :rolleyes2 ). I think he weezled out of trying it.

Also there was a restaurant once that did all different types of fried gizzards...he didn't want to try it, but he said it was really good once he did.

Maybe that's the one I was thinking of. There was a huge vat of it on the stove, nice lady cooking?

Probably an "aquired taste", I imagine. Menudo
