Gunman opens fire on FL school board meeting

I live here in Panama City and was out all day yesterday, in fact was not too far from the school board office a little before the incident. Didn't hear anything on the radio and it wasn't until I got on FB that I found out about it. The first story I read, stated that he had a cap gun. Later it was reported that he had a real gun.

Didn't know about Mike Jones. Knew he was involved but didn't know he was taken to the hospital. He is a great person. He does so much for the community. He will be in my prayers tonight.

Myself, I feel the woman trying to hit him with her bag was very foolish. Watching the news tonight, it looked like all the board members wanted to get their 15 minutes of fame by getting interviewed about the incident. Sorry, sometimes they all seem to get on my nerve with things that they do.

Suicide by cops eh? Didn't work out so well since ultimately he wound up shooting himself. Whoever said that desperate people are dangerous people was right on the money. Thank God he didn't take anyone out with him.

Yes, but the security guard reportedly struck him four times with bullets non-fatally. Perhaps when he realized that he'd be taken alive after all that provided him with the incentive to do it himself.
