Has anyone gone over to the Swan for the Gulliver's Character meal? We have the DDP and I am trying to find a meal that we would like with characters that my boys may find interesting. Last time we went to the Ohana breakfast and Chef Mickey's for dinner. Personally I'd love to see princesses, but my 9 and 12 yr old boys would not enjoy that. They are at the "we are NOT into characters, Mom" stage .... and yet I want to do at least one while we are there. I am not all that familiar with locations -- what park is the Swan closest to and what is the transportation available to get to/from there?

I was also thinking the Spirit of Aloha luau, but after reading the post below, I'm not so sure if it's worth the 2 table credits.

I'm almost positive that the Gulliver's at the Swan is not on the DDP....unless it's recently changed with 2007.

Liberty Tree Tavern Characters may be appropriate for older boys.

It seems that there is a villains character meal at Grand Floridian somewhere.

You know, they SHOULD have character meals that taylor to boys ....Ohana w/ Stitch is really the only one.

You are absolutely right -- they SHOULD gave a character meal geared more towards boys. They certainly have enough girl-oriented meals with all of the princesses. We would love a Peter Pan lost boys swinging vines type of meal or a Pirates of the Caribbean type character meal!

Do they ever change the character meals? A Snow White/Dwarves meal could be fun for both boys/girls too.

You are right! The Gulliver's meal is not included -- sure glad I found out before I tried to make the reservation!

Thanks!

For boys your age I would recommend Donald's Breakfastosaurus at AK. The characters are Donald, Mickey, Goofy and Pluto (no girls or princesses). The characters come around for quick pictures, which was enough for my boys (age 9).

Liberty Tree Traven (Goofy, Pluto, Minnie) or 'Ohana Breakfast (Stitch) would also be good. We might try 'Ohana next visit because my boys like Stitch.
