So DH and I are going for a little 5 night getaway during FD. We had planned a couple of weekend trips that are within a couple of hours of our home, however when the FD came out we said, hey, lets just go to WDW as the cost was comparable out the door for what we would have spent on our 2 weekend getaways.
Anyway, we had originally reserved at the POP, requesting a king bed. But, when POR Riverside had a king room available, we changed as we have always wanted to stay there. DH and I love the water taxi, our kids, well not so much. But then when I found out that our room could be in AB, which is a completely different decor then the mansions, we changed to the royal guest room, as then we know we are in the mansions. That is where the guilt comes in. Now I'm thinking that I will feel guilty as we have 2 daughters, 12 & 5, and that I will feel guilty for being there without them
So I am now second guessing myself and thinking, well we should just change the reservation and stay at the POP. I really don't think I would like the rooms at AB, for this particular trip anyway.
We have 6 children, 2 are on their own, 2 in college, and 2 left at home. We have done a couples trip to WDW twice before, so I'm not feeling guilty about that part. Also, we are taking the 2 youngest in January to AKL, and taking the 4 youngest 12/14.
Thanks for listening.
