Guides more than salesman??

We bought in 96 and got a lot of personal service from our guide. She worked out of Vero, we went on the tour while we were doing a Florida Resident Special rate there. We waited, though, until we saw the Orlando resorts the following weekend.

We ended up purchasing OKW, and for several years afterward, our guide kept in touch, both by note and phone calls, reminding us of our banking deadlines. She's since left, and we have a new guide. Not the same personal service, but I still get cards from him telling about the latest sales pitch.

I refuse to call them guides, they are timeshare salesmen. For the most part, they uphold the sleazy tradition of using lies to sell their product very well.

I like my guide! He calls back right away and is very helpful. I got a litho with my BCV add on and I also got a hand written thank you note from him. He calls me from time to time asking if I need anything, and that he's still looking every day for more points for me.

who really wants thier guide to call them...what will you talk about...he or her would only call for one reason and we all know what that is...to sell..that is thier job....my guide is great and he has never called me...he gives me info as i need it or ask for it...i cetainly do not want him to call me and ask how my kids are....that would be too fake on his part because in reality he would be trying to sell something....some of you take this a little too serious and really need you hands held if you are upset because you guide doesnt send a x-mas card...the only time my car saleman calls me is a few months before my lease is up to sell me another car...which is fine it is his job to do that and nothing more....as far as the oil changes go..you spend $30,000 on a car and they give you a few oil changes which amount to about $100....
