Guide Linda Streetman has left!

I called DVC just now to ask Linda Streetman about the Contemporary Villa rumors. The person I spoke with, Celeste, said Linda left in early December to become a realtor, so she would have a more flexible schedule for spending time with her daughter.
All I can say is "WAAAAAAAAAAAA!" We like Linda so much and can't imagine DVC without her.
Dan and Scott of these boards led us to Linda, and we always felt comfortable working with her. She never blinked about the two of us buying points together. The guide we got assigned to today asked how I was related to Madelyn. I was pleased to say we were partners of 21 years, but I would have been even more pleased if she had not asked at all.
If any same sex DISers want to recommend their guide, we're listening.

I too loved Linda! She was always kind, asked about family and never was pushy! I will miss her and hope that we have been assigned a decent guide to take her place.

Oh, man, we are saddened at this as well. Linda helped us with our initial purchase and 2 add ons. Hopefully we'll get someone good......guess I'll have to re-read some of the old posts for names. If she's reading this, Good Luck Linda!

WAAAAA....
I don't come to this board often, but we leave tomorrow for a DCL vacation and I'm too excited to sleep. So I'm perusing lots of places I don't frequent (all of them legal)

Linda was also our guide and we LOVED her. She always asked about how things were going, how the kids were, etc. Sometimes she'd even call our resort after we checked in to welcome us home. She was a wonderful DVC guide.

Since we are not in the market for anymore points, this won't be an issue for us, but who oh who to refer our friends to?

Good luck, Linda.....We'll miss you!

Linda was our guide too. She spent so much time on the phone with me until I knew I was doing the right thing. She was great. I wish her well.

I don't know Linda but I can recommend our guide, Gib McCain. He has always been helpful and great. He has helped us with various problems with an existing ressie and last minute cancellation, purhcases, referrals,etc. I don't think it matters if you are married or not and to whom as far as if your guide is good (at least it shouldn't matter). My husband and I have nothing but good to say about Gib. He has helped us in many ways and is always friendly and polite. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Linda was our guide as well. I didn't have contact with her except for the purchase of our two contracts but I wish her well!

Wow. I will miss Linda.

We had Judy Mann as our original guide, but she left for personal reasons. Then we were introduced to Linda. We purchased 7 contracts under her and had about 15 buy from her. She was always kind, grateful and a pleasure to talk to.

I'll miss her.

Celeste has been around a long time. She has been our guide for many years. We first spoke with her back in 1992 or 1993 when we looked at DVC for the first time. I really like her and would highly recommend her. I have also referred several people to her and she has been very helpful to everyone. Annmarie

Linda has been our guide for the past 8 years and has been with us for our initial contract and all 7 add-ons- She was the greatest and really came through on everything she promised- Will be automatically reassigned to a new guide?? When will DVC let us know?

Our interaction with Linda was the best I have ever had with a "sales person". I think someone posted that she has been at DVC for over 21 years!! She was a big part of the class act that is DVC and I hope she enjoys herself.
