Please clear something up for me. We leave in two days and will be at the BCV, 2 BR, with my sisters family. When we check in can they give the desk person their own credit card for their charges? They also want to put their park tkts on their credit card.Otherwise it seems it would be very confusing to keep charges separate. Thanks for your help.

We had to deal with the same situation last month. Our family and friends of ours traveled together to VB (in a 2 BR) and then to WL (in 2 std rooms that I booked). Only one credit card could be put down at check in. The way around it is this. Each room card has a unique number at the end. The room cards for our family were 1-4 and our friends were 5-8. The night before check out, we got a copy of our bill from guest services where they supplied us with 2 highlighters and a calculator (thank goodness!! I'm an Accountant, but I NEVER do math in my head, let alone on vacation!!). When we figured who owed what, we went back to guest services and they charged the appropriate amount to each of our credit cards. It was a slight inconvenience, but we managed. I believe your sister should be able to pay for her park tickets with her credit card at check-in. Have a good trip! I just realized that it was exactly one month ago today (7/13/03) that we arrived at VB. I want to go back....NOW!!!

You may pay for tickets on separate charge cards when checking in at your resort. The numbering system mentioned above worked well. We did the same 2 years ago with my sister.

The numbers on the room key are a big help when looking at the charges on the bill. It works well for us when we have guests staying with us.

I plan on using the numbers on the room keys to allow my SIL and hey boyfriend to charge to the room.

We will just go down before checkout and do the same as dznyacct did and split it up and pay it. I may get the bill mid week and check to see how they are doing and if they are doing a lot, maybe have them make a payment then.

what type of 2-bedroom do you have - if a dedicated my method won't work.

If a 2-bedroom lock-out - then you call MS now tell them you want the room treated as a lock-out with the doors locked - then your family will have a 1-bedroom and your sister will have the studio - you can check in separately. She gives her credit card, you give yours.

also if she is buying the unlimited hopper park passes - then I think everyone in the party has to buy the thing - but if she has the studio - then she is in a separate room and can do this.

this only works if you room is a 2-bedroom lockout.

oh after everyone is checked in you can unlock both doors - if you want too.

Won't they charge you the slightly higher points costs to do it this way?

"Won't they charge you the slightly higher points costs to do it this way?"

Yes,I was told by MS that the rooms would have to be booked individually( studio & onebedroom) in order to have seperate charge accounts for our 2 bedroom lockoff. Thus costing more points, and no guarantee that the rooms will be next to each other.

when I did it at OKW - there is no charge - in the original stuff from OKW that was the purpose of a 2-bedroom lock-off. and no they should not charge you any more points - you are not getting a 1-bedroom and a studio - you are getting a 2-bedroom lock-off and you are using the lock-off option.

I wish I could find the orignial stuff from OKW - it was descripted in the same place that the outlay is. but someone borrowed it and has not returned it.

if they are saying that this is 1-bedroom and a studio - I had better find that description in that handout !!!!

oh it was advertised for 2 couples traveling together.

I just called MS - they have done away with this option - so after I find my old stuff I will definitely be sending DVC a complaint letter -

I did it not long ago in 1999.

so sorry!!!!

this was a very nice option - especially when you are traveling with other couples.

It would be a very nice option, and unless I'm missing something, not something that would take too much effort from the front desk to set it up seperately. We are taking my parents in December, and it would be nice for them to have the seperate account. I've already requested the lockoff 2 bed. and I'm not willing to waist extra points for the priveledge of having seperate accounts. We will just deal with keeping it straight ourselves using the card numbers, but like I said, is it really that hard to keep them on 2 accounts?

If you put park tickets on the room keys, it will automatically be charged to your cc. We learned this last month when we couldn't figure out how the extra hundreds of $$ ended up on our cc. It all worked out, but took a while to figure what was up.

I think that when your charges hit a certain amount (like around $700 I'm not positive of the amount) they automatically run your card even if it is in the middle of your stay. This might account for them putting your tickets on through. Do you remember how much they were?
