Hi,
Looking at trimming some cost from budget for 4/14 daughter's wedding.

Looks like a good amount of guests will have their own car so I might be able to go with car pooling and/or one-way shuttles vs the motorcoach which we have pencil'd in.

Will the Beach Club give any of my guests trouble driving in and parking on their own. Will they have to show the wedding invitation? I know I have personally been turned away a few times from the BC when driving up and wanting to shop or get last minute bit to eat. They turned me away and told me to enter via International Gateway --which is ridiculous because not everyone wants to enter Epcot due to not wanting to use a hopper day or not having a ticket at all?

So my question is will my guests get any trouble trying to park at BC for the wedding reception at Ariels ? Thanks :)

No, you shouldn't. Having the invitation along should help, but you should just be able to say you're there for a wedding reception. You should not have to go through Epcot to get to a reception at beach club. That would mean park admission, which you should not need, plus going through the park possibly in formal wear, which is a no no.

The ceremony cannot have been in a park either. If you had an Epcot ceremony, for example, you will need to take Disney transportation from backstage to go to the reception at beach club. But if your ceremony was at the wedding pavilion, then there's nothing wrong with using your own car to get to beach.

Thank you. The ceremony will be at the WP. I just know Y&B can really hassle people about getting in to park. One time I had purchased something at BC and needed to return/exhange it. They would not let me park---told me to go through International Gateway which is just insane to return a purchased item. I was not using a park hopper day for that. The Contemporary has also been difficult. Certainly don't want our guests being put through that.
Thanks again. :thumbsup2

My wedding was 5+ years ago now, but all of my guests drove and my reception was at Atlantic Dance Hall on the Boardwalk and none of them had any problems parking at BW.

Thank you :thumbsup2

No problem! If you're really worried maybe ask the guests to keep the wedding invitation in the car. They told me when we got married our guests would need them to avoid parking fees when going thru the MK gate, but in the end everyone told me they just said they were going to the WP and they were directed where to go, never asked for the invitation.

No problem with parking there - our wedding was in Epcot and reception in ADH. Our guests needed to get into Epcot with Disney transportation but some needed to leave their car at The Boardwalk. Our planner left word for the person at the parking booth that there would be people coming there for our wedding. Our guests just needed to tell the parking booth attendant that they were coming there for our wedding.

Thank you Linda and Captain ! I feel much better about this now :goodvibes

we were married at the beach club in 2012 and pre-paid for valet parking for all of our guests, they got little tickets to show. Might be something to look into for your guests :) Our planner set it up!
