We are having 18 guests at our Intimate wedding at Seabreeze Point. However, my fiance and I have two infant nephews that will also be attending with their parents. Will this be allowed, since there will actually be 2 extra people there ( the infants). I hadn't really thought about it, but I was wondering, since they would be sitting on their parents laps and not eating any cake or taking part in the toast, if it would be okay. Anybody had any experience with this type of thing??? Thanks!!!

Sorry, I don't know if this is much help but what I was told by DFTW is that any living person- being an infant or older is counted as a guest, but you may want to check with your EM since they do sometimes work with certain circumstances. Good luck and let us know what happens for you

I too was told babies and infants counted as guests.
Intimates can have 18 guests plus the bride & groom = 20.
I have just swapped my yacht club wedding to a swan wedding next door, there are no restrictions there, it's cheaper and I can still have all the Disney extras, characters etc at the wedding.

Thanks for all of your help!! I contacted my Em like you suggested and she agreed to allow the infants. Whew! I didn't know what we were going to do, because their parents had to be there, but I wasn't willing to bump two other adults off the guest list so that two babies could be there who could care less. One less thing off my mind. Thanks Everyone for the Help!!!

Ok, here's a question i've had. How is Disney going to limit the # of guests you really have? For instance, take Sea Breeze Point. It looks by the pics i've seen that it's very open and right off the boardwalk. If i invite a few extra people, is there going to be a bouncer that throws people of the gazebo if the # of people goes over 20? I've just really been wondering how they inforce this?

I've heard that the EM and their assistant will ask people to leave who are not invited. You turn in a list of guests as part of the planning packet, so they know the number that should be there. I think they will allow gawkers at a distance but no one is allowed up close to the wedding, where they would end up in pictures or probably be able to hear the ceramony. So unless you have guests that just wanna watch from a distance like they have restraining orders I wouldn't try it. They also would not be allowed to have cake and champagne, as they only bring enough for your listed guests, no extra chairs, glasses, plates or forks. No one was near by the day of ours so I don't know from experience just what I've heard/read on the boards.

Hope this helps.

Anyone else will be "asked" to move - and they will not be permitted to be there. I can certainly attest to this because when Bob and I went to look at the Gazebo it was just before a wedding and the CM could not have been more clear that we could NOT stay - and they only had 4 guests, so it wasn't because of the number.

At the time, I was unimpressed that we were treated so abruptly until I remembered that someone would be doing that for us one day.

Also, it's important to know that it's not worth trying! Your contract with Disney specifically states that is you invite more than 18 people, they can cancel your wedding on the spot. I wouldn't take the chance that they mean it - they are getting more and more strict about Intimate weddings.

Oooh... one more thing!

Make SURE that the two infants being allowed outside of the maximum guest count is in your contract or in an addendum in WRITING. EMs do change from time to time, even during the planning process, and you want to make sure that your situation is crystal clear, just in case.

HTH!
