Guest Room Door Lock Replacement...

I saw on the Mouse Planet refurb schedule that guest room door lock mechanisms are being replaced at YC/BC/BCV over the next month or so. Looks like it won't affect the guest experience sine they say that their KTTW cards will continue to work with the new locks.

Just wondering what might be the reason for changing the locks on the whole resort. Perhaps changing to the same type of locks on the Dream?

Maybe they had the same locks as that Marriott in Denver where the locks stopped working at midnight on NYE. It took them at least four hours to get them working.

That would be interesting. If so, it would indicate the way WDW is going for all the resorts.
