Guest of Honor name badge--How come I was the ONLY one wearing one this trip?

The only GOH badge I have is from the 1997 trip when they gave you the badge with the first year visited. That was fun looking at everyone's badge and seeing who went when. I still have it...somewhere.

I got one for my Mom (64 yoa) and myself (42 yoa) for our last trip.

Ours said "#1 Mother" and "#1 Daughter" cause people keep thinking we are sisters.

Didn't really get too much interaction from CM's...but sure did wind up answering alot (too many) questions....I was doing the Disney "2 finger point" by the end of the first day. Guess maybe for kids they are great...I won't be wearing mine again!

All four of us wear ours every day we are at the parks. I have lots of funny stories that have come about from wearing them, but the cutest is when we were at AK and Wes Palm came out and talked to the kids and called them by name! He asked Savannah if she was from Georgia and Carson if she was from Nevada. Took them a few minutes to realize he could see their name badges!!!

You can buy the GOH badges at the Celebrity 5 & 10 store at MGM Studios for $6.00 plus tax at 6.5 %. It is on the right side just before Mickey's Sorcerer's Hat. Last year when we where there we were running late to a Priority Seating at the SCI-FI but wanted to catch the Great Movie Ride first. The line was way to long so I said we can come back. I noticed my wife talking with a CM and they both motioned for me to come back. Guess what the CM took us through a special entrance in the back where we totally got to miss the line. We were first in the cue and in the very front seat. We were all wearing GOH badges. Talk about Disney Magic. I did feel guilty passing everyone else up, but it sure was nice to be treated like a VIP. By the way made it to SCI-FI with time to spare. I say get the GOH badges and make your vacation that much more magic!

Can anyone tell me where you can get the Anniversary badge? Do you buy them like the GOH badges or are they free like the Birthday Pins?

The annivesary and birthday badges are free, only the GOH badges have to be ordered. Also the free badges are not [and cannot be] personalized. They just say "Today is my Birthday" or "Today is our Anniversary". You can get the free badges at guest services at each of the four parks and at DTD. As others have said, you can buy the GOH badges at either the Christmas store at DTD or the Celebrity 5 & 10 at Disney-MGM studios.

To my dh's dismay the first day we arrived last year I literally dragged them to DTD and made a bee-line for the back of the Christmas Store.(thanks to all the great info. from this board) My dd actually got attention from it immediately. The Cast Members went out of their way to say HI to her by name and gave her that extra special magical attention. She was in her glory on her birthday with all the people that noticed her birthday pin and her GOH pin. We are surprising her with a trip in Oct. and plan on putting dd's pin lanyard and her GOH pin all on her Minnie. We are putting Minnie into her booster seat in the car which is how she will find out about the trip the morning that we leave.

OMG! If I wasn't already sitting down I'd be rolling on floor I was laughing to so much! Too funny!!!

I also wear my GOH every day of my stay. Every morning my DW will say to me "Do I have to wear this today?". Last time she asked I told her if she asked one more time I'd make her sleep with it on her nightgown.

i just bought my 1st 2 GOH badges. Yup, 2! I had a friend down there for Easter and had her get me Figment and Stitch. I'm thinking I'll pick up the celebration one when we go in the fall. Can't wait to wear them.

DS got his Gold name badge at the Emporium but we had to go across the street to the jewelry store to have his name engraved. They also sell them in there. If I had known that I would have just bought it there.

He also bought the golden Mickey Ears in the Emporium and we had to take these to the hat shop at the town square to have his name stitched on it. But they were very good about sending it back the hotel after the stitching was done.

Whats so weird, its I have to wear a name tag for work....I NEVER do, but I LOVE wearing my GOH badge at Disney! When I receive my GOH badge, I will wear it to work, to see if anyone notices it.

DBF bought me a Stitch GOH badge for our upcoming trip.. I never thought people might mistake it for a CM badge!! I hope I don't get too many people coming up to me and ask questions.. I just might be tempted to direct them whever we aren't going!
