Guest of Honor badges.. good idea??

I am buying one of those for my DD2 and I am getting a gitft basket for her and DW from Feralpeg.

I bought some years ago when you had more than one style to choose from too! I better make sure we don't lose them. My daughter's have Minnie GOH badges and it was nice to have the CM's call them by name or a character write my DD's names in their autograph book.

DemonLlama ~ curious to hear your answer to those curious guests!! :hyper: whatcha tell them??

I would like to order a gift basket to include 3 badges. I need to hurry as we will be at WDW in 9 days. How do I go about this?

Thanks. princess: pirate: ::MickeyMo

My kids got theirs when you could still get your hometown and state printed underneath your name. I guard them with my life. They get a lot of CM interaction and other guests who are from our area. Funny story my son left his baseball hat with his GOH badge on the plane when we did a Scout trip to Nasa. I said - Where is your hat and pin and just then the loudspeaker announced "Jason Guest of Honor from PA please come back for your hat at the ticket counter". We all jumped like it was the voice of God!

Since you will be there shortly, I would get them there. I got DS's at Days of Christmas at DTD (way in the back where they sell the personalizable things). I think another poster found them somewhere in MGM....don't remember where tho. I wouldn't rely on ordering them through the mail....you probably won't get them in time (laughingplace.com is in CA...so you most definately won't get them in time!) You could always try to order them and see if they will deliver to your resort...but, again, do you want to risk not having them in time? Good luck and have a fun trip!!

Cookie Princess You could try Gifts of a Lifetime for the basket. Jane is the woman who runs it and she does have resort delivery available. Her website is www.giftsofalifetime.com or you can contact her directly at jane@giftsofalifetime.com or call (407) 445-2457. With such short notice, it's probably best to give them a call.

Thanks for the link...I just checked out Gifts of a Lifetime.....a little pricey for me. GoH badges $10!? They were only $6 in the store! Well, if you want to preorder and pay more (even autograph books and Disney trivia game were more than in the parks/stores), you'll save yourself the time shopping for what you want while you are there!

There was a lady once who demanded to know "what makes you guests of honor?" We never did tell her. It's all in the way you ask.;)

I would've told her: with THAT attitude, you'll never find out! :teeth:

I got my DD the Princess GOH badge from Laughingplace.com. I gave it to her for her first tooth falling out. If her tooth hadn't fallen out, 'Tinkerbell' was going to leave it in our hotel room at check-in. Now 'Tinkerbell' is going to leave an autograph book and Pal Mickey.

I got my sister one at the christmas shop in Down town Disney. I couldn't find her name so I had it engraved at the back of the store. They still put names on mickey hats as well.

How long did it take to have the badge engraved? Maybe I will do this instead of ordering and having to pay express shipping. My son has a unique name. Thanks!

We had ours engraved there too. Since most people don't venture to the back of the Christmas store (they are shopping in the store), it's not very crowded. We were able to get ours done right away.....took maybe 2 or 3 minutes...I watched it being engraved! My suggestion would be this: if it seems crowded, go in and ask them how long till it would be ready. If there's a wait, order it and then go shopping and come back for it. That way, you're not wasting time waiting for it to be done (if there is a wait). They will let you do that. ::yes::
