Guest Lists.....

Hey everyone! I know this has been asked and aswered before, but there is so many conflicting answers out there, just looking to set things straight. Does anyne know if Children count as part of your guest count for intimate weddings?? Is there a cut off age?? etc. Also if they do count can you just pay a bit extra per child over the 18 guest max instead of having to go with a custom?

Yes, Disney counts kids. I'm having my intimate in 2 weeks so I'm under the 2005 rules where you could add up to 5 extra for $100 each. My extra person is a child age 9, she counts in the head count but didn't cost me any extra money as she's a child in Disney's eyes. Under 3 I belive you can get in without counting but anything over 3 is going to be counted, and you can't do anymore then the 18 people, you have to go custom over that.

Ok so just to be clear under the old rules you could go over the max (up to 5 over) and just pay a per person fee, but under the new rules you cannot go over at all even if it would be going over with children (1 9yo and 3 under 5)

Yes, that would be my answer, you can't go over unless the child is under 3.

All children count even those under 3. I was told by Disney that even 1 yr olds count in your guest count and recommended that if you have small children who throw your guest count over to check into the different babysitting services for during the ceremony.

Even though I haven't booked my wedding and can' tuntil December this year, I asked the same question about children and guest count and I was told the same thing that DisneyBride2Be said. I have talked to DFTW several times and I have been told that children no matter what age is considered in the count and that I can only have a total of 20 people max (inc. me and FDH) for an intimate, and if I wanted to go over the guest count that I would have to book a custom wedding.

Ok is that jsut for Intimate weddings? I was told that children under 3 did not count and there was a childrens menu for kids 3-9. I am a custom are the rules the same?

I think you are right in terms of being charged allisonswonderland. I was told you are not charged for children under 3 for food and beverages. Kids ages 3-9 are a children fee for food and a non-alcoholic fee for bar. However, we are being penalized for the children on our guest list. The 5 children attending my wedding, under the age of 3 are being counted towards my 104 guest limit at the Living Seas. Hope this helps.
