Hey guys! My boyfriend and I have talked about a disney wedding ever since we met on our CP in 2002. I really would love to have one and we met with a Disney Wedding planner in the summer. We have been planning it forever, I am just waiting for the ring! hahaha I think we were the only people to meet with the planners before we were even engaged! :rotfl:

Well I wanted to know if you had planned a lot of activities for your guests as a group. I think we would have 20-30 people. I would want to have everyone go to the same parks on the same days and maybe even have some dinners together (hoop de doo, Ohana's, Chef Mickey's). Did you do plan a lot for them, or did you let them do their own thing?

Also, how long did you have your guests there with you? I was thinking maybe 5 days total.

We like to plan ahead! hahaha and I am sure the ring will be coming soon! I just have to wait! :rolleyes1

Thank you for any help!

We did not plan a lot of activities with our guests. We had a rehearsal dinner and the wedding events (ceremony, pre-reception Illuminations party, reception) and that was it. The vast majority of our guests only stayed at Disney Friday through Sunday (the wedding was on Saturday night), so most of them wouldn’t have been able to participate in much. My husband and I did meet up with my parents the day after the wedding (to surprise my dad with a stay at the Wilderness Lodge) and with some of our family the next day in the Magic Kingdom, but that was it. We were really exhausted from the wedding stress, so we’re glad we didn’t plan too much with others. An event or two could be fun, but remember you’ll be very tired.

We did do some fun stuff with our wedding party though. My matron of honor and I arrived Thursday night and went to dinner together, then went to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party just the two of us. It was a blast! On Friday some friends of my mom hosted a bridal tea at the Grand Floridian, which was wonderful. We also had all the bridesmaids sleep over at the GF the night before the wedding (we had 2 connecting rooms) and the groomsmen all stayed with my husband at Caribbean Beach (where they stayed up playing video games, LOL). Those things were a lot of fun. :)

we have some planned events. we will be there for 13 days, our guests will be arriving in the middle of our stay, most of our guests will be there for 4 & 5 days.

this is our guest initiary day 1-5 of their stay. day 1 our parents & wedding party arrive, casual dinner & cruise. on day 2 our ceremony rehearsal & events - a group fishing excursion for the guys & spa treatments for the ladies for us, parents & wedding party at the gf. later on day 2 our other guests will be arriving & we are hosting a welcome dinner at rfc. day 3 is their free day at the wdw themeparks. day 4 is our wedding - ceremony, prereception, reception, dessert party. day 5 is another free day & most guests will be leaving.

as for planning ahead, save your money now, it makes it so much easier later (ours will be all paid off so are money now is going towards our house fund). i also suggest doing some research on what you want for your dream wdw wedding. check out disneyweddings.com & debbie's unofficial yourfairytale.com, the dis & these sites have been so helpful in our plans.
