Hi

I have been informed that Disney Guests are guaranteed entry to Disney Parks - we are going to MK on July 4th - if we leave at 2.00pm and return say around 8.00pm - if the park is closed will Disney resort guests still be admitted?

If you are a Disney Resort Guest, you are guaranteed to get into A park, but not ANY park you wish. More then likely MK will fill up and will not open back up until after the fireworks go off.

Exactly, as posted - as a Disney Resort Guest you will get into "A" park. Magic Kingdom generally is the one to hit capacity first and completely shut down. You might have to go to Epcot or Animal Kingdom instead.

They're usually pretty good at communicating this at the resorts too. You shouldn't be "blindsighted" by a closed park entrance. They're pretty good about communicating it property-wide. When I worked at DisneyQuest - Magic Kingdom even called us to let us know about their capacity status.

I just want to add again that as a Resort guest, you do have a better chance to get in, then say an offsite guest. When the parks start to close when they start to fill up, the park will close in stages...

I am not sure in what order it goes, but the park will stop admiting offsite guests and even Cast Members (I believe) using their work ID before they will stop admitting Resort Guests.
