How many guests did you invite and how many are actually able to come?

Aside from the actual wedding, did you feed your guests any other time?

Just trying to get some ideas :)

We did this twice - had to postpone the first time... The first time we invited 40 and were expecting 36, the second time we invited 16 and ended up with 17 :rotfl: (my mom took the liberty of inviting my aunt and cousin once she found out that we had a couple of open spots under our limit)

We were an exception to the rule
as we invited 106 and 98 showed up:scared1:

as for food we had 50 of the 98 at the rehearsal dinner
and had 40 at the farewell brunch

Our wedding is this November and we just mailed the invitation with a response date back of August 18. We have invited 111 people. We have only gotten back 6 RSVP's so far but we have:

49 Definate Yes
21 Definate No
41 ?

I am hoping we don't go over 60 but it looks like it will be closer to 70.

First of all, let me state that I am having a Vow Renewal, but I also just changed from Wishes to Escape (and therefore have the 20 ppl max limitation)

I was originally inviting approximately 35 people. The more people I spoke with about coming, the fewer people were coming. Therefore the change had to take place (not that you can't have a wishes wedding with under 20 people, but it was just not economically feasible for us)

So now, I am inviting 14 people, 12 of which I have confirmations from, I 'm still waiting on my in-laws to see if they're coming. :rolleyes1

I am having a Welcome Dinner at 1900 Park Fare the day before the ceremony and a Farewell/Thank you Breakfast at Chef Mickey's the day after. Dh and I are paying for all of the above. We are also having a Dessert Party as our "Reception" the night of the ceremony.

If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me or ask here.

We invited 55 and had 34 attend.

Besides the wedding reception, we paid for the dessert party, but didn't feed our guests any other time. Instead of a welcome party/rehearsal dinner, we had an afternoon meet 'n' greet, and then people made their own reservations for dinner.

I forget how many we invited but we had 140 people.
My mom and my MIL both had hospitality suites at All Star Music so the day before the wedding people could stop in and get food and drinks. They got different types wraps (tuna, veggy etc) and chips and soda.

I'm having a wishes wedding. Almost all the guests that we invited are from out of state except for 20 or so people.

We invited 190 and only ended up with a final count of 84. A lot of people said when we first got engaged that they would come for sure. When it came done to it. That wasnt the case. A lot of people said they just cant swing it now because of the high cost of airlines.

My Future in laws are taking care of the rehearsal dinner. We dont plan on any really fancy dinners except for me and my DF going to Cinderella's royal table and to lecellier with my parents.

We invited 202 and my final guest count is 158 - and most people are from out of town even if we are local. Not bad... I was hoping not to go over 170.

We invited about 60-65 and 40 attended.
We had a welcome / rehersal breakfast the day before at 1900 Park Fare and all 40 were also there 3 showed up late and didnt eat but we still paid for them

We invited 223 people and of those, 147 showed up.

I'm the mom that paid for the wedding, I know how many showed up and how many were fed.
The wedding was on Friday evening... and we started having out of town guests arrive on Tuesday. Those spent the night at our house. Wednesday we had the Pre-wedding "day of beauty" for all the girls and a "get the groom/groomsmen out of the way" deep sea fishing trip.
Thursday we all traveled to the park to our hotel rooms, we bought Lunch for everyone that was there. That evening as all the out of town guests had arrived, and since we were anxious to see everyone, we invited everyone to the rehearsal dinner. Friday, several people went to enjoy the parks, so we only fed the wedding party that was around. We spent a rediculious amount of money, but it was SO worth it. It was all so memorable and 5 years later, EVERYone that attended is still talking about this wedding.

Tuesday: meet-n-greet casual dinner at our house for about 20 people.
Wednesday:
Groom & Groomsmen Fishing Trip - Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner - 9 guys
Wednesday: Bride & Bridesmaids Beauty Day - Nails and Pedicures/Lunch 7 girls
Thursday: 7 Hotel rooms for who ever needed one...Lunch for 20 and Rehearsal Dinner for 117.
Friday: Pre-wedding Lunch for 30
Saturday: Breakfast for 57

Wow - that ALOT of people. From the pictures it looks wonderful and so worth it though. Where was the reception? I love the castle in the background.

We had the reception at the Grand California. The castle backdrop was beautiful and so worth the money... they had a smaller one, but it was NO where near as breathtaking.

I thought that looked liked Sleeping Beauty's castle background!

I thought it would be kinda cool, but oy, the money is just adding up!

We're inviting around 123 to 130, but we can't have more than 120 show up, so I think a second wave of invites will go out once we get a feel for the crowd.

wow, that is a lot of guests! We're having....a confirmed 4 people.

Once the groom tells his family, maybe an additional 5 people but they probably cant afford it.

We're spending time with the family before the wedding and after the wedding we're having a farewell "reception" lunch.

We can only have a few guests b/c its at SP.
