Call me stupid but i cannot find out any info on the Guest Assitance Passes on the Disney site and I searched through here and couldtn find what I am looking for.

This is the situation. I have Lupus and Fibromyalgia, asthma and kidney problems and lord knows what else. I dont function very well most days. I know I am going to need a ECV while at WDW thinking of renting one or out and out buying one with an umbrella, but I also need to be kept out of the sun because of my Lupus otherwise I have horrendous flares where I cant move for days on end. We are going with a family who has 3 members who suffer with Epilepsy and asthma and they too must stay out of the sun, one of the boys has seizures when out in the sun too long.

Where do we get these passes?
what do we need to get them ?
where can I call to inquire?

We want to wait in line as if we are not disabled but we dont want to be stuck in the sun for long periods and ruin our trip and we think the passes might help.

TIA for all your help and guidance.

If i cant get back online tonight could someone be kind enough to email me the answers.

Welcome, Christine.
The official Disney site is not exactly easy to find information on.
The card that you are looking for is called a Guest Assistance Card. You can go to Guest Services in any of the parks to request one. You don't need to provide any doctor's letters or anything, just be ready to explain what your problems are. All the cards look the same, but each one has a message stamped on it that cooresponds to the type of assistance you need. There is one that allows for a wait out of the sun. When you get a card, it is good for all the parks for the length of your stay. I'll email this to you. If you look for any posts by teri, she has compiled a really nice FAQs that includes GACs. She has a link to the FAQs by her signature.
